The NPA set up a department to rent out or even sell container straps to these clueless idiots that continue to dump their unrestrained containers on people. I would insist that every loaded container leaving the port must be restrained. By the time they gross in so much money, the FRSC and Customs will start fighting over that responsibility.

I don't pity Lagosians. They are the ones who will beg the Federal Government to decentralise port operations and spread the dung of the cash cow to other locales. If you must enjoy the benefits, you musy suffer the responsibilities as well. Ask those living around London Heathrow. They were at the fore front of opposition to the proposed third runway. Let Lagpsians be acting 'fast and furious' with their lives everyday in the quest for megacity status. Donald has said it all....collapsing....and crushing...

FRSC is more concerned about small vehicles and extortion. They don't care a hoot about unsafe trucks in the roads. Bloody cursed fellows.
My advise to Nigerian road users, take your safety into your hands and let you God do the rest. Whenever you see container trucks, don't even drag the road with them. Give them as .such distance as you can. I can't for whatever reason feel comfortable driving alongside a truck in Nigeria.
Does FRSC or VIS test the trucks on the roads? Do they care?
