Why are they charging different tuition fees?

I can understand state universities but all Federal Universities in Nigeria should be charging the same (uniform) tuition fee.

The last fee I paid in OAU was 5,200naira only... OAU is d cheapest.

I surprise as I no see AAUA for the list o. I paid 37,500 as a new student and 27k till I graduated. And I heard the fees hasn't change till now

I used to visit Dat library a lot since it was built till 2011 when I left dat school.

Around 2006/2007 d fees was 17k for returning students but things don increase now

I'd just entered by that 2011, done now but the last fees I paid in final year was 45k

They still pay 45k for returning students but only God knows how long that will last

@Op,Uniben is not a first generation university,it is a second generation university.
There are only 5 universities in the first generation group;UI,UNN,UNILAG,OAU and ABU

kWASU 110k for indigence and 210k for non-indigence.
