The man behind the slang most Nairalanders use is no other person than Comedian Michael Dapaah. He is a parody rapper who gave himself the name Roadman Shaq. Shaq, along with MC Quakez, are personas invented and played by British actor-comedian Michael Dapaah. They're characters in his mockumentary web series "Somewhere in London".
Roadman Shaq's rap is a bunch of gibberish nonsense mixed with jokey references. The most famous segment,
which spawned a meme, comes from a sequence that begins with him saying "the ting goes skrrrrrra pa pa
kakaka." So, for the Nairalanders who the ting goes skrrrra pa pa kakaka, Now you know where it comes from, lol
