History parallel to Defection Of Emeka Ojukwu to the Ruling party

Ojukwu fled into exile in Ivory Coast after the Biafra fell to the Federal forces in January 1970 to escape arrest and trial for treason.
He did not return to Nigeria until after 13 years and a granting of official pardon by President Shehu Shagari in 1982.
His political advent took him not to the then Igbo political party, the NPP, but he prefer to pitch his tent to the then ruling party NPN, which nominated him senatorial candidate in the 1983 general elections. He subsequently lost to Senator Edwin Onwudiwe of the NPP.

Now is son Emeka Ojukwu Jr., has followed in his father’s footstep by defecting to the ruling party, this time APC, instead of the Igbo party, APGA.
Anybody using derogatory words on the fellow should cast their mind back to 1982. The will realize that the fellow has simply shown himself to be a true son of his father

Whether he deflects or not is not really important.
His deflection has no political importance.
