Access Bank, Lasu Branch had refused to admit fault on an ATM fraud that began right in front of her ATM stand.

To make the account comprehensive, the language would be simple.

On a faithful day, 28th, November ,2017. A Lasu Student by name Fatimah, visited The Bank to make use of the ATM at Access Bank Nigeria, LASU Branch. On completing her Transaction (Withdrawal) the ATM got stuck in the machine for minutes (Fault 1- Technical Issue from the Bank) and the Victim had to rush to the Security for assistance. The Security requested for her details to include her National ID Card.

She immediately informed him that the Account belongs to her Mom and she only makes use of the ATM for her expenses in School.
The Security instructed her to Come back the next day. She was also advised to come along with her Mom to claim the ATM card.
Surprisingly, The Following day The real owner of the account i.e The Mother called her daughter to report a new transaction that just occurred, A transaction of 200,000naira. (What a Catastrophe!). This got her worried and she had to run down to the bank to Lodge a complain on that. The Bank agreed and showed her the CCTV record of a particular Man who happened to have removed the card when after the Card came out from the Machine and that should be after the girl left the spot (Fault 2- Negligence And Breach of Duty from The so imposed Security)..

To cut the story short, Ever since then till this moment Access Bank had shown less remorse nor any concern about this Case. After meeting them for dialogue at frequent times they only referred us to the Mother's Bank (Sterling) and the Head Offices of the two Banks.

The Undeniable Fact remains that the mistake started from Access and the Fraud was by virtue of The Negligence that arose from Access Bank.

We won't stop agitating the application of Justice and Fairness.

Access bank should release the CCTV footage so as to trace the culprit... Sterling bank should give details of where the 200k was withdrawn... Then the two banks(Access n Sterling) meet the bank where the money was withdrawn so as to get the CCTV footage also... After getting it, then it should be compared with that of Access bank. If they show the same person, then investigation can begin on the culprit... The first point is, since the culprit too was at Access bank to use the ATM on the day of the incident, they(Access) should be able to get his bank details via his ATM card. Link his bank up for more details of him... Then getting the culprit begins in earnest! (Security Agencies should not be left out in these processes)
