Many have been asking for Scriptural proof where Jesus said We should tithe. Jesus himself said that We should tithe!
St. Matthew 23:23 "How terrible it will be for you teachers of religious law and you Pharisees. Hypocrites! For you are careful to tithe even the tiniest part of your income, but you ignore the important things of the law—justice, mercy, and faith. YOU SHOULD TITHE, yes, but you should not leave undone the more important things."

Law meant for Jews not Christians. Remember, Jesus was speaking about Jewish religious leaders.

Thanks for your comments. First we need to understand that what he(Jesus) says to one he says to all is the principle of the bible. Nothing like,"He was referring to the religious leaders". Secondly why Jesus said in that verse can be likened to someone who doesn't miss church services and even serve as a worker in the Church but still commits fornication. Going to church is good but more importantly obeying the word of Christ is more important. That is why Jesus said that on that day some we say lord, lord we did this or that in your name... which Jesus won't deny that they didn't do(of course they cannot look him in the face on the day of judgement and lie against him, I doubt that) but Christ will reply...I never know you thou workers of iniquities. Tithing is a fruit of of salvation, just like loving God is a fruit of our salvation. You can still tithe and yet not saved. Enough said! Do not let any issue make you abuse anybody. @firstolalekan, one love.
