PoliticsNGR has obtained footage of a policeman harassing and Insulting a commercial motorcyclist for offering him 'N100' after he(policeman) asked for a bribe.

The police officer is seen insulting the Okada man in Hausa and Yoruba language. The incident is believed to have occurred in the South-western part of the country.

As long as the Nigerian police force keep recruiting people without proper attitudinal orientation, this will inevitably continue.

Just this last recruitment, one of my friends who lost his job some six years back, told me he wishes for nothing, than to join the Nigerian police force. Well, since I've always questioned how patriotic he was, I asked him why he said so, he told he he's convinced that even without his salary, with the Ak47 he'd be given, he's sure of returning home everyday with #5,000.

Thank goodness, he wasn't taken, even with his many 'oga at the top' friends.

Like I've said before, Aside combat trainings, members of the force, should be subjected to long-term courses on patriotism.

Or better, our Police Academies should be the only entry route to the force, like some other sane Nations. And in the Academy, Patriotism, should be talked into the kids from the Beginning.
