***EPISODE SIXTEEN*** 'should tayo know about this, it would hurt her..' Chidera said to herself as she walked away, she tried her best to avoid tayo for the rest of the day... Tayo on the other hand was more than curious,she wanted to know the secret that her best friend was keeping from her...she noticed that she was avoiding her,she didn't even want to go home with her.
She decided to pay chidera a surprise visit..... "Good evening ma"
Chidera's mum was the one who opened the door.. "my dear how are you" chidera's mum said with a smile
She was a chubby woman, lightskinned too..
"is chi home?"
"no oh, after school she said she was going to the library"
Library? there's no library in that area, so that means chidera went somewhere else

She moved closer it was a good thing they were not facing her, she hid behind a huge black board that had the scores of a football match written on it.. "I shouldn't have had sex with you that evening I know I was wrong! I acted like a LovePeddler!"chidera said crying already

***EPISODE SEVENTEEN*** Tayo cried her eyes out that evening, she locked herself in her room, she didn't want anyone in the house to see her in that state, how could her best friend betray her like that?
She picked up her phone to text Daniel, she was ready to break up with him, she started the relationship so she can equally end it..almost immediately her phone rang, it was chidera, she rolled her eyes and ignored the call.
Chidera called her again,
Tayo ignored.
She called back three more times..at the fourth time tayo picked up, chidera didn't even let tayo utter anything, she started talking"tayo I'm sorry, it's really not what you think, I didn't mean to do what I did, besides it was before you started dating him, he....." Tayo interrupted her "shut up you classless LovePeddler! Now I see why you were so angry when you found out we were dating, you did such a thing and kept it to yourself! You wanted him to yourself all along! That won't be a problem anymore, I'd break up with him, then you'd be happy, I never want to have anything to do with you! I hate you! With everything in me! I hate you!" Then she hung up.

Chidera weeped profusely, her elder who was with her started consoling her
Chidera was hurt and at the same time she felt bad, her love for tayo was unconditional, she didn't mean to hurt her like that, she wasn't also given the chance to explain..

"what happened that evening" her sister asked calmly

No message from Daniel, she switched off her data and she switched from on again, nothing, no message..
She forgot about what she wanted to send to him, she was too startled and disappointed.
She sent a 'broken heart' emoji.
Few minutes later he replied with just 'how far'!
Tayo opened her mouth wide with awe!
Then she replied 'dont you think have some explaining to do concerning what I heard this evening?
Daniel then replied ' I don't think so, nothing happened today'
Tayo just stared at the message like she couldn't understand what she was reading..

****EPISODE EIGHTEEN*** Tayo didn't know what to do, she wanted him to explain, she wanted him to talk to her, she wanted him to beg...
But Daniel wasn't down for that.
She decided to call him, she knew that she shouldn't be doing that but she wanted an explanation so bad, she didn't mind... "hello?" Daniel said as he picked his call
Tayo started talking angrily... "you! You had the guts to sleep with my best friend, how could you?, you are such a LovePeddler, male slut! A guy who cant keep his "thing" between his legs in one place, a brainless idiot! a fool! A bast......."
"hold it there madam, I'm not a your servant that you can talk to anyhow, since you just want to keep ranting and showing how dumb and stupid you are, I have nothing to say to you! B***h!" Then he hung up

What just happened?, tayo thought
"Isn't he supposed to explain and apologize,or was I too harsh? I shouldn't have talked to him that way" tayo said

Tayo started calling, he wasn't picking, she didn't stop, she started texting too, he was reading her messages but he didn't reply.

Tayo started crying like a fool, again!
Her phone rang...it was Daniel...she was so happy
"you called?" He said, grudgingly.
"hey baby, I just wanted to apologise I'm so sorry, I didn't mean all those things I said, I should have let you explain, I'm so sorry, I'm really hurt, I was angry..i didn't mean to say those things...." "I'd just warn you, in your life, don't ever talk to me like that again!" Daniel said shouting at her
" but I said I'm sorry, please I really am" she said almost crying.
"it's cool, I'm just warning you, you know I'm nice, it's okay, we're cool now" Daniel said
"but Daniel why, why did you do that with chidera" tayo asked
" your friend is a slut, that's it, she wanted it and I gave it to her, she's not a good person, besides we did it before we started dating and let me tell you a secret, she really doesn't like you, all those tears were fake, you need to hear all what she said about you, I love you tayo for real, I will ride or die for you anytime, you mean everything to me and I don't want you to be friends with the wrong person, stop hanging out with that girl she's not a good person" Daniel said

Tayo believed him, it was almost seemed like he had bewitched her, she developed deep and intense hatred for chidera...
She vowed never to have anything to do with her, little did she know she was making the worst mistake of her life... Is this really love between Daniel and tayo?

****EPISODE NINETEEN**** Things refused to get better between tayo and chidera, no matter how chidera tried to apologize and explain herself to tayo, Tayo wasn't ready to listen to her..... Months passed, Tayo and her classmates, including Daniel and Chidera, took their SSC Exams, they graduated from Secondary school and many people parted ways, expect for those who stayed around the same vicinity like tayo,Daniel and chidera.

Tayo refused to take JAMB examinations with the big lie 'that she wasn't ready', the truth was that she didn't take the exam because Daniel said he wasn't taking it, she didn't want to leave him behind, she claimed that she loved him too much...
Chidera on the other hand, gained admission into the University of Lagos, she was elated! She would have told tayo but Tayo wouldn't care, she hated her and she wouldn't wish her well, so she kept the good news to herself... One Saturday afternoon, Tayo paid a visit to Daniel, she was lying on his bed in his room with him and she asked for his phone...
"what do you need my phone for?" Daniel asked
" I want to play candy crush Na!"she said and then she kissed him on his cheek as a bribe
"I'd uninstall this game very soon, just take!"he said handing the phone to her, "enjoy it while it lasts" he continued
Tayo laughed softly"thank you baby!"
"I'm coming, I want to use the toilet" Daniel said then he left the room, tayo was about opening the candy crush app when a text message came in from a certain. "Tracy" she opened the message and it read 'Im sorry baby, I won't available to go to the movies tomorrow,how about some other time?'..'Movies with another girl?' Tayo thought
Daniel opened the door so she quickly went back to the candy crush app, she was thinking of a way to find out what was going on, she knew that the 'tracy' girl had changed plans but he doesn't...
"Babe, should I come over tomorrow afternoon?"tayo asked Daniel she wanted to see what he'd say..
"No! I have plans" he said
"what plans,can't you cancel them for me" tayo said
"no I cant it's important, my aunt called, she wants to see my brother and I" Daniel lied
Tayo was sure he was up to something..
"okay then, I'd be going home now"
"okay babe let me see you off"Daniel said

Tayo was helping her mum in the kitchen when Daniel's call came in, she left the kitchen to receive his call
"hey sweetie"she said as she picked up "hello tayo, you can come over tomorrow if you want my aunt cancelled"he sounded disappointed
He must have seen ''tracy's" text
"I can't come tomorrow, I have to go to the shop with my mum, she needs help with some things" tayo said, she lied
"okay babe,bye"Daniel said
"bye"tayo said

****EPISODE TWENTY**** "Temitayo, I heard chidera has gotten admission into the university" Mrs.Davies, (tayo's mum) said to tayo in the kitchen as they were preparing breakfast,
Tayo was startled, but she didn't show that she was, "congrats to her" tayo said grudgingly "I really don't understand why you decided not to be her friend anymore" Mrs. Davies said
"mum that's a long story, don't worry about that"
"but you girls have been friends for a long time tayo"Mrs. Davies said
"mum, things happen, sometimes we hold on to the people that are toxic for us, thinking they're the ones who are the best meanwhile they're not"
"wow!" "since you're speaking in parables, you probably don't want to tell me what happened, so please,go and set the table...."Mrs. Davies said, sounding less concerned.

Tayo was set and ready to pay Daniel a surprise visit, she couldn't explain why she felt that something was going to happen if she paid him a surprise visit,
So she decided to go with her instinct... Tayo got to Daniel's place, it felt like no one was at home, she knocked the door,
No one answered..
She knocked severally,
Nobody still answered...
Then tayo tried opening it, and the door opened...
"it wasn't even locked seff"she said as she entered the house

Daniel wasn't in the sitting room, she looked around and she noticed a feminine footwear, "maybe it's his aunt's" she said to herself..
She decided to go to his room, the door was closed, she tried to open it but it was locked, she knocked. No one answered, she knocked again
"who is there?"
It was Daniel's voice
"it's me tayo"
"tayo! But you said you'd be going to your mum's stall"he sounded surprised "open the door joor!"tayo said
It took Daniel five minutes before he could open the door, when he finally did, there was a girl sitting on his bed...
*Ermmm...tayo what's up?" He said trying to block tayo from seeing the other chick
"let's go to the sitting room..."he said that and then closed the door
Tayo was trying to get a better view but he was taller than her and he kept blocking her..
Disadvantages of being a short girl... "who is in there?"
"Didn't you say you're going to see your aunt?"
"why do you have a girl in your room?!"
Tayo bombarded him with questions
"chill, a question at a time" he said
"that's my cousin, my aunt said we shouldn't bother to come so she sent her daughter to come and give us somethings..she didn't want to go home yet so she decided to stay a little while"
Daniel was so smooth with his lies. "but why did you take so long to open the door"
Daniel hesitated, he didn't know what to say,a few seconds later he spoke
" I was looking for a shirt to put on before I could open the door"
It wasn't a perfect lie, but at least it was something. Tayo bought it anyway, she believed her "boo" was always truthful
"okay baby" then she smiled at him
"let me meet your cousin" she said again

Ohh tayo!
Should we tell her she's being played?...
