TRANSITION


With a heart full of gratitude,

and a soul replete with praise,

I hereby announce the altitude,

of he who was dead but raised,

and now shun life of platitude.


Mortal sins have their varying wages.

Death can be as cheap as a dime.

Bondage of sins is in stages,

and their share is forever a slime,

even with self-denying rages.

Lust has since ceased to live.

Gluttony will remain in comatose.

An inkling of treachery will I never give.

Great faithfulness I have in dose.

To be upright will I ever strive.



Pious life has its full reward.

Better it is to live, and not exist.

Better it is to give righteousness a regard.

From ungodly acts I now desist,

hoping - at last - to see the Lord.
