About a year and 6 months ago, we were faced with the painful and sad decision of finally doing away with fuel subsidy. It was a bitter pill to swallow for most Nigerians, but was the best decision to take despite the fact that it was taken at least,4 years late. A lot of Nigerians didn't like it but like a female cancer patient with cancer of the breast,we had to either leave it(the breast) and suffer more pains in future,or cut/operate it(the breast) and get the chance to live and survive without the breast. At that time,I wrote an article as to why we should all support the decision irrespective of our political leanings/sentiments. For those who missed it,here's a link to the said article:

It's been a year and 6 months after and we are still experiencing fuel scarcity and Nigerians are still groaning under the hardship of queuing under the sun for hours to buy fuel, people are buying fuel for exorbitant prices at the black market, transportation cost is soaring high and most families are certainly going to have a bleak Christmas holiday. All of these,is currently happening under Mr Buhari, the "expected messiah" that isn't corrupt(like we have been made to believe). All of these is happening under the APC government that made most Nigerians to believe that they had the solutions to our problems.
To be candid, nothing exactly has changed between the last government and this one. As a matter of fact,it is believed that this government,is worse than the previous. This then leads me to the simple question of: "what is the hope for Nigeria"? For how long are we going to continue like this? What is the solution to our fuel problem and how can we ensure that such a thing never occurs again?

Let's discuss and share ideas....

Only NNPC imports fuel now. Proper accounting is not done as NNPC has billions of dollars with dem. Thrmey are actually importing at a loss if we use official exchange rates
