Good day gurus in the house, pls someone that was denied on the grounds that she did a letter of change on intent and used the visa for birthing, who reapplies after 5 to 6months with the family(husband ,wife and son). When asked u were here months ago, whats new or what have changed, what will the person answer, knowing that the person is now pregnant for a new baby, which she wasn't by 6months ago when applied earlier and now wants to birth in US again.

Also should she apply alone this time around without hubby and son, knowing they were all given 221g form and all went for interview but were denied that 6months ago.

Good evening I have been reading all post like Bible daily since my last denial for renewal caused by childbirth which wasn't disclosed to Vo but at point of entry and was advised to pay all bills in 2014,all these happened before I joined this group,I would have done otherwise. All said my family is planning on going on vacation in August and we have our interview coming Monday 30th,I have decided to come clean, wrote all about my childbirth and all while filling my form,I pray for favour as some have testified.meanwhile I don't have anywhere to keep my USA born citizen when the family will leave for interview @ 5am ,I don't have a live in Nanny, asking if we can go with him,I have written to ask,no response yet, want to find out if any have had any experience going with their citizen born child.Thank you.

Hi everyone, I need some experience from people who have given birth in the US already. For those that didn't go with their mothers, please how how do you normally cope especially within the first few days after childbirth? Are there things you travel with( like some local stuff that our mothers would have normally administered on us). I have family over there that will likely help but I just want to know if there are extra steps to be taken, especially for a first-time mom. Thank you.

well i got an elderly woman to come in and teach me on how to bath the baby. bought all i need in America. but notced my baby's skin didnot go well with the baby oil with put on the head. so i tried olive oil it works fanstatic.

i also breastfed my baby so it was easier on me to feed him, most time slept on my side to feed him.

i wish you all the best.

Please was your previous visa B1/B2 or B2?

mummymos:
Hello,

Been a silent reader and i must confess this thread has been quite helpful from the moment I decided to have the baby in USA.
Renewed my VISA via drop box in December and picked the B2 option.

Arrived IAH at about 2pm US time, the airport wasn't so busy. Was already on the queue to be attended by a black CBP before another till opened with a white guy.

Officer: Good morning
Me:Good morning.
Officer: Why are you here and for how long
Me: To have my baby and 10 weeks
Officer: Where are we having this baby
Me: HNWMC
Officer: Do you have any correspondence with the hospital/ doctor
Me: Yes, (brings out all my documents i.e: email correspondence with both dr xydas and Shelly from the hospital including my appointment letter and also the miracle moment package) He scans through for like 5 mins.
Officer: Have you met this Doctor physically before ?
Me: No
Officer: So how did you find him
Me: Internet and online reviews.
Officer: How much cash do you have for this purpose
Me: $XXXXX - (less than $10,000)
Officer: shouts Escort, hands over my passport and documents ta a guy, then turns to the guy and asks me to follow him to Almighty secondary inspection

When we arrive secondary inspection, I see them grilling a pregnant arab lady and almost enter panic mode but I just stayed calm and sat down. After about 20 mins it was my turn

Secondary Inspection officer: Why are you here
Me: to have a baby.
Secondary Inspection officer: Why do you want to have your baby here
Me: Dual Citizenship
SIO: Having your baby here doesn't give dual citizenship
Me: The baby can have both a Nigerian Passport and an American passport
SIO: I see you've been to other countries why not any of them
Me: The benefits of America outweigh all others
SIO: Where is your husband?
Me: Lagos Nigeria
SIO:So tell me one of these benefits you talked about earlier
Me: At this point my mind is balnk, I sha say they can get access to IVY league education
SIO: You don't have to be a citizen for this.
Me: But this means you'll pay nore
SIO: How much cash do you have on you?
Me : XXXXX
SIO: Can I see it, He looks at the cash but doesn't count and hands it back to me. Also hands back my correspondence letters
SIO: I hope you know what to do else next time you plan to come to the US we will cancel your visa?
Me: What exactly?
SIO: I thought you did your homework well
Me: You mean getting all my reciepts and paying in full
SIO: Yes.
As he is about to hand me my passport, next thing he asks where am I staying?
Me: Intown suites
SIO: How much is that costing you
Me: About $3000
SIO: Hangs on to my passport. So how is the balance of the cash you have going to cover your bills
ME: I have my BOA card with me and there's some money in the account.
SIO: How much
ME: $XXXX
SIO: When was this account opened
Me: 2016 during my last visit
SIO: So you have been planning for this since then;
ME: NO
SIO: So why do you have an international bank account
Me: It helped me to save and then for international transactions
SIO: Like?
Me: Apple music, Online shopping
SIO: What other countries do you have bank accounts in
Me: Just here and Nigeria
SIO: Finally hands me my passport, and says make sure to pay all your bills else we'll revoke your visa when next you come
Me: Thank you.

Proceeds to baggage claim to get my bags and realize the place is literally empty except for my bags, as I pick up my bags one woman says I have to go for baggage inspection and hands me a form. I quickly opened the form and see that they circled rice.
The guys at baggage just scans my bag and says next time don't bring in rice.

Now staying at Intown suites. Not sure how i feel about the place. My next hustle now is to get a better place. Maybe its the Nigerian in me but I feel the place feels so exposed.
The kitchenette only has a microwave and fridge and 2 disposable cups.
Any HNWMC/ Dr Xydas mamas due in May please lets connect

Here to give back to this wonderful forum. Had my interview today @ 8:00am in Lagos.

Got my first B1/B2 visa in October 2015 for vacation and later used it to birth my baby in August 2016. Entered Texas June 25th, 2016 and spent 4months and 2weeks. No change of intent letter but I declared at the point of entry. Didn't know about zero balance or itemized billing until I read it here. Went into panic mode and started making calls.

Fast forward to my interview
VO: Good morning and please pass your passport.
Me: Good morning (Passes passport)
VO: Where in the US are you going?
Me: Orlando, Florida.
VO: Do you have anybody in Florida.
Me: No, but I have in other states.
VO: That means you're going to Disney.
Me: Yes
VO: Is anyone going with you.
Me:Yes my daughter.
VO: Have you travelled before (he saw my previous visa o)
Me: Yes 2ce to the US
VO: What did you go there for?
Me: 1st for vacation 3weeks and the 2nd time for child birth 4months
VO: Okay, I see you have paid( don't know what he meant), do you have your receipts and can I see them.
Me: Yes I do (Passes everything include expenditure sheet, receipts, zero balance, itemized bill)
VO: flips through not scrutinized though, hands them back. What does your husband do?
Me: he's into farming and blablabla
VO: Does he have a valid US visa
Me: No
VO: Will he be traveling with you.
Me: No
VO: Why is he not going with you.
Me: This is planting season for him so he would not be available for travel.
VO: Why not wait till he's available
Me: My annual leave is during summer so I won't be available when he's ready.
VO: What does your husband do? ( Was surprised since I had stated it earlier.
Me: repeated same thing I said before.
VO: okay, make sure you have your receipts with you when traveling. Pick up your visa at your choosen place . Have a nice day
Me: thank you and have a nice day too.

Thank you all for your guidance.
@chibertha thanks for the help with Quest Diagnostics.

My wife went for her interview with my two kids but was denied. She wants to reapply alone this time. Below is her transcript:

DW- Good Morning
VO - Good Morning
Vo - Passport Pls
DW - Handed over passport,
Vo - why are u going to the US,
DW - For Childbirth and the opportunity of giving my child dual Citizenship.
Vo - Why US? Why not any other country?
DW- US has great medical facilities and it will be a privilege to access these facilities.
Vo - Have u travelled out of Africa before?
DW - No.
Vo - Are you traveling alone with the kids? How are you going to coordinate them with the new baby coming?
DW- I plan to travel with the kids but my DH will be applying for a visa to join us close to my EDD. Meanwhile, we'll be staying with my aunt who will be assisting.
Vo- what do you do?
DW - Nurse
VO - How much do you earn?
DW - xyz
VO- Who is sponsoring the trip?
DW - Hubby
VO - What does your hubby do?
DW - A GM in a coy plus owns his company that is into xyz consulting services and mgt...
VO - types and types and then sorry you are not eligible for the visa. Bla bla bla... hands over the blue paper.

So people what went wrong? Seems they are denying visas like hell. What would she do differently?
Re: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedures Part 6 by ibukunpops(f): 2:06pm On Apr 26, 2018
Administrative purpose means they want to look more into your case.

Two things can happen; 1) You will get the visa stamped on your passport and docs returned when you pick up at DHL. 2) Passport will be returned without the visa stamped inside, God forbid.

Best of luck!

MiracleMum:
My interview was scheduled for 9am today. I was given a white paper after much question and answer. And the VO said I'd receive a mail in the next 3 days informing me to come pick up my documents and passport which she's withholding for administrative purpose.
Does this mean I've gotten the visa?

God please give me the strength to leave her behind.

Hello. I was in your shoes in 2016. I travelled with my toddler girl ( few months shy of 3). I later realised it was not such a great decision as she stressed the life out of me especially when my baby was born! It was really tough. And I stayed with family over there.
Few things you need to consider
Where will she stay when you go in to have your baby and more importantly with whom?
How will you cope with a newborn and a toddler, trust me it's not easy.
If you can have your mum or trusted relative take care of her ( esp since your hubby won't be travelling with you). I think she'll be fine.
I'm going for a 3rd missionary journey later in the year.
I will not be traveling with my kids, 4 and 2 years.

They will be fine.
