OVERALL PURPOSE

Our client requires a Head of HR to help restructure, grow and maintain the day-to-day management of human resource operations within the Firm. The role also focuses on working with MD / management team to formulate HR strategies, policies, drive recruitment and establish world-class performance management standard to help visualize the vision of the firm.

This is a senior role reporting to Managing Director and the compensation is very attractive.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Support the development and implementation of HR initiatives and systems
• To develop and periodically update HR policies and procedures
• Be actively involved in recruitment by preparing job descriptions, posting ads and managing the hiring process
• To create and ensure the execution of training and capacity development programs.
• To drive, create and report performance management process and initiatives
• Support the management of disciplinary and grievance issues
• Maintain employee records (attendance, EEO data etc.) according to policy and legal requirements
• Review employment and working conditions to ensure legal compliance
• Demonstrates good understanding/practical knowledge of Nigerian and other relevant employment laws and employer best practice
• Establish human resource objective in line with organization objectives.
• Develops human resources operations financial strategies by estimating, forecasting, and anticipating requirements, trends, and variances; aligning monetary resources; developing action plans; measuring and analysing results; initiating corrective actions; minimizing the impact of variances.

• Up to date knowledge of employment law and modern HR practices
• Excellent communication and relationship building skills at all levels
• Leadership skills and ability to empower, motivate and to create a positive, inclusive team ethos.
• Financial and budgetary management with the ability to understand, manage and interpret budgetary and other financial information.
• Exposure to the technology industry is an advantage.

REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor's degree
• 5 to 7 years’ experience in a core Human Resource function
• Relevant professional HR qualification/ certification
• Strong HR generalist; well versed in all areas of the HR life cycle.
• Able to demonstrate experience of leading the successful implementation of HR change projects across a broad scope.
• Personal resilience and an ability to cope with ambiguity, uncertainty, pressure and scrutiny from others.
• Ability to travel nationally on an ad hoc basis
