Power is so TRANSIENT! When Obasanjo was President (from 1999 to 2007), rich men and women groveled and competed to attend the annual Ibogun Olaogun Day (which held every December)!

It was a carnival-like event that consistently had rich people like Dangote, Otedola, Tonye Cole, Jim Ovia, Cecilia Ibru, Erastus Akingbola, etc in attendance with huge donations! The story changed dramatically in 2007 when Yar'Adua succeeded Obasanjo! None of these attended the event that year!

Now, in December 2017, Ogun state Governor, Amosun is the ONLY big man who attended the event!

Politicians and political appointees should learn! You will lose that 'godfather' influence one day! And also, they should learn that people flock around them ONLY for what they might gain!

Yesterday, rich men, including Dangote, donated over N300 million at Yakubu Dogara's 50th birthday event in Abuja. Wait till Dogara ends his term as Speaker (even if he'd be there for 8 years) and see whether (or not) Dangote would pick his calls, let alone attend his events!
