Reports say Kwankwaso and his group consider moving to PDP or PRP

Author:Eromosele Ebhomele

Plans have reportedly been concluded by former Kano state governor Rabi’u Kwankwaso, and his

supporters to either move over to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) or Peoples Redemption Party (PRP),

Daily Trust is reporting.

The report quoted a source within the Kwankwasiyya as saying the politician and his loyalists are thinking of

leaving the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC).

Kwankwasiyya is the political movement led by Senator Kwankwaso and the source reportedly hinted that the

movement had been conducting series of meetings on the decision to defect and would soon come up with a

conclusion on which among the two political parties they would join.

“They have agreed to dump the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) but the issue at the stake now is which party

they will join between PDP and PRP.

“They are still contemplating but I can confirm to you that they will soon finalise the issue and come up with a

stand,” the source reportedly said.

The report however Kwankwasiyya stalwart, Yunusa Dangwani, denied such move when he was contacted.

“We have not discussed anything related to Kwankwaso’s defection from APC to PDP or PRP. We are still members

of the ruling APC.

“We have been hearing this for some times now, but it is just mere rumor and we cannot stop people from

speculations. We are APC members who believed in Kwankwasiyya’s ideologies,” he said.

The government of Kano under Abdullahi Ganduje demanded an apology from

the Kwankwassiyya group, on behalf of Muhammadu Buhari over comments that the president is fuelling crisis

in the state.

The government, through its spokesperson and information commissioner, Alhaji Mohammed Garba, asked the

group to tender an unreserved apology to the president and the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The state urged the national leadership of the APC to invoke the party’s constitution and take appropriate

disciplinary measures against the group.

If only Kwankwoso could have exercise some patience then when he was so intoxicated for a grip on power that he mobilized his colleagues in same PDP to become an infamous "rebel governors".
The group violate the Nigerian constitution by having the audacity to ask a sitting president to vacate his seat because of their inordinate political ambition.

That name Kwankwaso sound so familiar like a broken gong.

I guess he's a Ghanian because it is only in Ghana and Togo you hear names that are very troublesome to the ear.

Kwankwanso stands no chance against Buhari come 2019 he is only wasting his time. Only Atiku has the political clout and financial resources and connections to shoot down the lanky general in 2019.
