The real story will never be known again. The driver of same bus, a GUO was about negotiating the abudu bridge in Edo state when the Dangote Truck fully loaded with cement hit it from behind. The bus was badly damaged and was thrown over the bridge, into the river below. * persons died and only 3 survived. The accident was never the fault of GUO or their driver but by the reckless driver of the dangote truck.
It is pertinent to note too, the dangote truck driver on seeing the carnage he had caused, attempted to run away but a witness who saw this chased the truck, overtook it and reported at the next police check point. The dangote guys ditched their vehicle and excaped on foot.
casualty may have been reduced if proper care was given to a young lady on board the bus. the hospital she was taken to can only be described as a makeshift arrangement where people are preferred dead. She died.
The driver and 2 others survived.
