Woman Arrested After Trying to Check In Dead Husband for Flight

April 6 (Bloomberg) -- A woman was arrested at Liverpool’s John Lennon Airport in northwest England after trying to check in her dead husband for an EasyJet Plc flight to Berlin.

Gitta Jarrant, a German national who lives in Oldham, England, along with the dead man’s stepdaughter, Anke Anusic, were arrested on suspicion of failing to give notification of a death, according to a Greater Manchester Police official who declined to be identified, citing department policy.

The two women arrived at the Liverpool airport April 3 to board the flight with an “elderly gentleman” in a wheelchair, the Luton, England-based airline said today in a statement.

EasyJet workers were “immediately concerned” about the man’s health and called a first aid team, the carrier said. “It was then discovered the passenger was in fact deceased and the police were called.”

The dead man, Curt Willi Jarrant, was 91 years old, according to the police. The widow is 66 and Anusic is 41, the police said.

The British Broadcasting Corp. quoted the stepdaughter as saying the pair didn’t know that Jarrant was dead at the airport.

The two women have been released on bail until June 1, the police spokesman said. An airport official declined to comment because the incident is being investigated by the police.

The point i try to make is that the absurdity of the  goings on in Nigeria is parallel to the absurdity of the news i posted
dead men being checked in for a flight, dead/incapacitated men still trying to rule the living in Nigeria?
