Tstv Africa : What Happened To Tstv? by NOETHNICITY(m): 10:33pm On Dec 31, 2017 |
Tomorrow 1st of January will makes it exactly three months after the launching ceremony of the Nigerian satellite TV which had in attendance the Minister of information whose presence gave credibility and created more hype and publicity about the whole idea of the tsTV package. To an extent, given the long period of silence from tsTV after the launching, it can now sadly be concluded, painful as it is, that it was all a scam. Some Nigerians who had doubted the TVs unsubstantiated claim to some phantom rights to show the EPL and the champions league through BeiN Sports inquired from beiN sports if such right had been granted to TsTV Africa, many of us were left surprised by the shocking denial by BeiN sports of the existence of any such deal or contract between them. Nigerians as usual, rather than face the bitter truth, chose to go the way emotion, claiming dstv was trying all it could to frustrate the vision of tstv. Insults were thrown at the inquisitive Nigerian who made effort to inquire from beiN sports as he was branded a saboteur and a traitor... Unfortunately, at that time, many Nigerians had already purchased the decoder as attempts to return them later were swiftly declined..... At the risk of being insulted for this post, it is my opinion that the police or EFCC investigate the matter and unravel the circumstances surrounding the botched operation of tstv Africa, and if found wanting the owner of tsTv Africa should be arrested and charged for advance fee fraud for defrauding many innocent and unsuspecting Nigerians of their hard earned money. 1 Like 1 Share |

Dangote styled monopoly killing. Multichoice was the first listed company in Nigeria to hit the 100 naira mark. It is rarely traded today as those that own it are not interested in selling because of the superlative dividends they get annually. Nigeria is a monopolist heaven 1 Like |

NOETHNICITY: Multichoice Nigeria lobbies everyone with a govt portfolio to ensure their monopoly They even paid more for EPL rights in order to shut down Hi-TV. What I do know is that the TSTV decoders where hacked by DSTV and that if they had rolled it out they would have gone bankrupt. Anyone who even attempts to hack a DSTV decoder is promptly arrested and jailed. Their decoders even come with a seal that prevents after sale service in DSTV shops if the seal is broken. DSTV really played a hard one on TSTV and because we have no anti-Trust laws, they can walk away Scots free 1 Like |

I wonder the same thing, tstv is one of the biggest disappointment Nigerians were dealed. We thought we had a company that will finally check the excesses of DStv alas it was pipe dream. |

ImadeUReadThis:This position of blaming dstv for tstvs failure to secure due rights from bein and other subsidiary partners needs to stop.... We blame everyone but ourselves for our failures in Nigeria. |

ImadeUReadThis: How long will you blame DStv for the unpreparedness of TSTV? Same way we joined when change singers were blaming the transformation "agendists" until it became too late for all of us... We need to learn that when a deal seems too cool...then it ain't... 1 Like |

They're doing press up, after that they'll do jogging and later move to power lifting. In short, they're still warming up. |

TSTV don’t need Epl to be successful, what about the broadband internet package. That would make them a lot of money. The guys just weren’t serious.... what a waste |
