The Benue State chairman of the ruling All Progressive Congress, APC, Comrade Abba Yaro has described the massive killing of over 50 Benue people by the Fulani herdsmen as an invitation for Civil War.

In a Statement issued in Abuja, Yaro decried the recent killings as an attempt to spark second civil war in Nigeria, insisting that, it is clear case of ethnic cleansing around the Benue Valley which must be stopped immediately.

While calling on President Muhammadu Buhari to immediately call the Fulani to order and as well direct security agents to fetch out the killers, he also called on all Benue Sons and daughters, irrespective of Party affiliation to rise in defence of Benue Community.

"This is above Party politics, it is human lives, how can you kill a pregnant woman and removed the unborn child yet slaughtered it? It is barbaric, unspeakable and generally unpalatable".

Yaro says the Anti Open Grazing Law in Benue is not targeted at any section of the people but for the general security of Benue State, a measure against cattle rustling and a solution to herders/farmers clash.

"The implementation is ongoing and we are in support of our governor, we are not deterred, the Anti Open Grazing Law has come to stay.

"Nigerians should not see the killings as a Benue problem but National crisis, the absence of peace in Benue is an absence of peace in Nigeria.

"We must treat it as a national ethnic cleansing by the Fulanis and collectively pressurize Mr President to put an end to it. If Boko Haram can be defeated, IPOB stopped, Fulani killings can be stopped", he observed.

He further call on the Chief of Army Staff, Lt Gen Buratai, the Interior Minister Lt Gen Danbazau, the Director General of the Department of State Services (DSS), Lawal Daura, the Inspector General of Police Ibrahim Idris to protect Benue community or "we rise in self-defense, which will amount to the second civil war."

Yaro emphasized that "if the Fulanis are not called to order by the relevant authorities to stop the ethnic cleansing like the lawless Fulanis are doing, Benue people shall take laws into their hands in self-defense".

You see the only odd thing is .. nobody is really scared of a civil war because most war veterans and those who paid the price are either dead or too old to GAF. So what needs to happen is for the youth leaders and influencers to start preaching a message other than booze sex and baby mamas and hailing the corrupt elite in their songs - they should recognize that leadership is a privilege an appointed/elected officials are called to serve not rule.

When the civil war which you Biafran pigs started was going on, were you people folding your hands while Hausa/Fulani solders were killing you? Didn't you people kill a single Hausa/Fulani solder doing the 30 months war? If it is true that you people declared war and then folded your hands and just siddon look while you were being slaughtered, then you deserved what you got. Note however, that if you start another yamayama, the the Python will dance again.

Where is your dumb python dance in Benue where it is needed most?

Do people like you and igbos in general, understand WHAT THE PLAN OF THE FULANI HERDSMEN IS?
In case you dont, let me summarise it for you here:

- Fulani Herdsmen like Buhari rear their cattle from the Core North and surroundings like Chad and Niger Republic.
- They dont want to adapt and practice RANCHING, they want to insist on OPEN GRAZING.
- They also need to get their Catles from the Fulani North, to as far as Lagos, where the Market is.
To do the above, they need GRAZING ROUTES that will run all the way from Daura, to Lagos.
These "Grazing Routes" that will run from North to South and South West, are your people's Farm, Villages and Towns.
The Fulani Herdsmen have sworn to KILL EVERY LIVING THING (except the crops they need to feed their Cattle along the route grin ) along that route, all the way from Daura, to the Middle belts (Plateau, Benue, e.t.c), tot he East (Igbos States), to the South-South, to the West (Ondo/Ekiti/Osun) and down to Lagos and Ogun states.

This is their plan and it involves slaughtering everyone along that route

So, if you think it is a "Benue Problem", you are either ignorant or just on an "eventual" Death-Wish.
Ask the people of some Villages and towns in the East, about what Fulani heardsmen did to them

what do you see as the solution?
Re: Fulani Herdsmen Killings An Invitation For Civil War - Benue APC Chairman by planetx: 2:42pm On Jan 03
The time for threatening to rise up in self defense is past, you should have rosed up since 10 years ago because this killings have been going on forever as I can remember even under GEJ there were massive killings. How much more can this people do to you before you fight back instead of all this cowardly begging buhari, buratai, danbazau, daura, the police IG who are all not going to lift a finger to help you, pls stop being cowardly is there no young men in Benue anymore. Kill them ruthlessly and dont spare their women and children, when is enough going to be enough, they want your land and that is the final objective and the idiot's you are calling to help you also want them to have your land.

Comrade Abba Yaro, you are appealing to those who are complicite to take action.
One of their state chairmen, el-Rufai, publicly stated he paid off fulani herdsmen who were slaughtering people in southern Kaduna and nothing happened.
So, stop wasting your time.

All southern and middle belt leaders across the spectrum are morons. How long will it take them to know that the fulanis are waging a war of ethnic cleansing in Nigeria ?
Gov Ortom ought to've known that the beasts would fight back against the anti-grazing law. The national chairman of Miyetti allah threatened as much and you failed to take pre-emptive action.
Southerners had better mobilized for violent reprisals against the beasts before it's too late.
The fulanis feel the only way they can survive in Nigeria is by violence by which method they came.

Don't be myopic in your submission. Benue lies close to Enugu and Ebonyi. Think. You have to condemn this evil, if not for anything, but for the safety of our border towns.

What is so wonderful about this Buhari that blaming him and getting him to take responsibility for issues directly under his control/supervision is a problem and a taboo? Who is in charge of the police and every security apparatus in this country? Who had the power to hire and fire every head of all security agencies? If they do not perform optimally whose responsibility is it to call them to order or remove them from office?

Your statement epitomise what is WRONG WITH MOST NIGERIANS, especially people of Igbo extraction!

For people like you, every problem is an OPPORTUNITY FOR REVENGE, EVEN WHEN THE PROBLEM AFFECTS YOU NEGATIVELY!

Tommorow, if this same Herdsmen come to your village and slaughter everybody, you will be the first to CRY OUT AND EXPECT OTHER NIGERIANS TO RALLY ROUND!

You should stop "cutting-off your Nose, just to spite your face".

Learn to 'rise-above' short-term, paroic personal interest and think more about "the common-good".
The common-good here is that the terrorist Fulani Herdsmen ARE EVERYBODY'S ENEMY, whether you are IPOB, Afonja, Benue, South/South, e.t.c, the Herdsmen will murder you as long as they want your village.

You can, with WISODM, decide to first chase away the Fox ,... then come back to admonish the errant chicken".
What you are doing now, amounts to saying: Let the Fox eat the chickens afterall, it did not listen to instruction not to go out"!
With that, at the end of the day, you wont have any chickens left... and you will be the NEXT MEAL of the Fox~! undecided undecided
Thisis a Proverb so dont interprete it literally.

Reflect on these things for a minute, before you come back with more anger. undecided

You simply dont get it do you? There is no such thing as ' one Nigeria' and there is nothing to rise above. You think we are a people that love each other? Far from it. The only thing that exists in Nigeria are sectional interests. Thats why Buhari will send Soldiers after IPOB that has never killed anyone and has no arms and tag them terrorists but will never do the same against his kingsmen slaughtering everywhere. Thats why fir them a Benue indigene will be dancing that the Python is dancing in the East but will cry fowl when herdsmen come to dance in Agatu. Thats why a fool like Buhari will come to power and give his area the majority of positions in government and be fully backed by his people and Yorubas.

We dont care about each other and we routinely rejoice at the misfortune of others. There is no Nigerian brotherhood.

I have no sympathy for them in Benue, afterall-

Fulani killers are just mere criminals and unarmed IPOB are terrorists

Nobody should expect this government to protect them or, take action against fulani herdsmen. Buhari, as a fulani, with cows is a member of Miyetti allah, the umbrella body for fulani herdsmen. Therefore, all of them belong to the terrorist group of herdsmen. Buhari stupidly said that they are Libyans which makes them aliens. If that were true, why has he failed to take action against them ? Because they are acting his script, period.

The people of the community of the victims, and indeed, the entire Benue people, should mobilize and take far-reaching reprisals against the beasts.
