namet:
They are not strong enough for that. Remember the former IGP said boko Haram had killed 90, 000 (yes, 90 thousand) police officers. If they go to sambisa, boko haram will slaughter more of them.

Let's be honest with ourselves: our police officers are only strong when they are dealing with unarmed civilians. If you are yourself and challenge them every thing about their fake gallantry comes crashing down.

The boko boys know this and it is how they succeeded in burning down every police station in borno state, except the state headquarters in maiduguri

u suppose to know that they will all resign or run away wen dey raise the issue datz wen u see dem complaining abt having wives and kids at home

There are many 'rich' even 'super rich ' Police men and women out there.

He is just judging the profession based on his salary...which is very myopic.

This epistle is gotten from the book of lamentation full of Plagiarism. A Soilder once wrote something like this. There is no comparison between a man in uniform and a civilian. You can compare yourself with other police officers in better countries. You should face the job you sign for and stop the rant. No job is easy and if you doubt me ask armed robbers.

You can as well ignore my comment this is a social forum its not a military site. However I don't need to understand anything. You hear me so. God has been faithful to me on all angles and all I care for is to thank him and not complain or compare myself with the self acclaimed gallant mopol.

The hatred for the force is just too much. How do you cope knowing your neighbors and those you see every single day wish you and your family death?

My respect, MobileMen.

A gallant police officer identified as Oluwa Oscar Lam, has revealed how proud he is to be working in the Nigerian Police Force. The policeman who lives and works in Lagos - took to Facebook to share the below words as he compared himself with an "ordinary" civilian. Read below;

I am a proud POLICE OFFICER

They Have University, We Have Training College.

They Have Vice Chancellor, We Have Commandant.

They Have Lecturers, We Have Instructors.

Their Day Starts by 0700hrs, but Ours by 0400hrs.

They Wake up 0600hrs, We Jump up 0300hrs.

They Shake Hands, We Salute.

They Wear Gucci, We Wear Carmo/Khaki.

They Keep Their Hairs, We Cut Off Our Hairs.

They Wake Up, We Jump Up.

They walk, We Double In Divisions.

They Have Students, We Have Cadets/Recruits.

They Have Dining Halls, We Have Mess.

They Go On Break, We Go On Pass.

They Have Conference Hall, We Have Parade Ground.

To Them Nigeria Flag Stays up For 24/7, To Us We Have Colour And Sunset.

They Have Graduation Party, We Have Passing Out Parade.

To Them Injury Is For One And One Only Whilst To Us Injury For One Injury For All.

They Get Short Term Light Drills Only In Their NYSC, Whilst Rigorous Drills Is Our Everyday Blood Tonic.

They Are School Colleagues, We Are Brothers.

They Have Civilian Blood, We Have MOPOL Blood.

They Demand For Respect, We Command Respect.

I took this job knowing I may never get rich,

I've missed out so many holidays, church services and special occasions in order to protect lives,

I'm expected to work miracles and do things other people are scared to do and even save lives.

It has been proven that my life expectancy is shorter than yours because of the stress I go through and the sickness I get exposed to, and yet there are no hero movies about us.

I must give my life everyday for people I dont know, have never met before and even those who dont like me.

When my family is home suffering alone I'm out here in the cold, dangerous situations all in the name of protecting property and saving life.

I am a warrior who gave oath to die for my people!

I am a POLICE OFFICER

Happy new year to you all.

Very true. Such are the sacrifices. The people who enjoy the results of their hardwork may not even understand why it is important to help make it as convenient as possible for them to put in their best.

I dislike police ..

But we cannot ignore or invalidate, their hustle or suffering. What you did in NYSC camp is nothing compared to what he has been doing ALL his years(not 1 year) in the force.. Even a recruit soldier in D.E.P.O.T has done more hard labor in 9 months than you think you did in 1 year of NYSC let alone a serving MOPOL officer. So you are yet to do whatever you think you have done when compared to what he has done.

Wish u success in ur service though..
