IPOB is nigeria problem. IPOB is the main cause of killings in Benue and Taraba. Why is Gowon and T.Y. Danjuma quiet of the killing northern christians in the nigeria.
They are just cowards!!!!!!

This issue of herds-men has really shown both Buhari's ethnic bias, and his ineptitude. People were being killed daily, and their livelihoods ravaged, and Buhari did not say a word. Herds-men are killers, and Buhari, by both past rhetoric and inactions is an accessory to their actions.

When they massacred Fulani women and children and similarly killed and maimed thousands of their cattle in Taraba, how many condemned or gave them a second thought, how much press coverage did they got - in fact some were even cheering at their plight; but now that the Fulani are apparently retaliating, suddenly everybody is up in arms condemning and politicising the whole matter from a tribal and religious perspective - without looking at the root cause of the problem. SMH at the bigotry in play.

What of the dozens Fulanis have murdered in the South-south and South-East - even in the South-West? This is not bigotry, this is fighting back a nest of killers determined to remain uncivilized.

These Middle Beltans are too foolish for my liking. There is desertification rapidly spreading in central Africa especially in areas where you find Hausa Fulani tribes. Your land is their last hope and make no mistakes, they will dislodge all of you from there and resettle their own people and cattle on it. Have you noticed how they cooled down in Benue for a minute now since the outcry against their recent killing there started? they have moved to taraba for now, they will come back later when the noise has died down to continue where they stopped.

Facts only!!!

You should try and dig into the root cause of the attacks, the Fulanis don't just wake up and decide to kill for no reason at all, what you see are often reprisals after they must have been attacked/robbed or unduly taken advantage of (an aspect deliberately being ignored by a southern Christian owned and dominated biased media) - try and long beyond sentiments; note that this problem is not confined only to the south, it happens also in the core north; the difference is that we do not politicise it like southerners.

Going by your logic, why are herds-men being provoked all over the country in other people's farms Asides from Olu Falae's case (cos he was SSG), where else have these people been made to face justice

The SW media is an easy target to blame for spreading lies, but if you haven't met anyone personally affected, it is easy for you to claim these attacks are lies.

That same energy with which Buhari stormed Oyo with to clash with the state government when his fellow herds-men were paid back in their own coin, he needs to bring it to deliver justice in Benue. In more civilized countries, he would be impeached!

As much as I've tried to be on the side-lines in this whole Jonathan vs. Buhari post-election melee, I have personally made it a point of duty to do my bit that this feudal illiterate does not come back. Of course, selfish people like Tinubu and co would throw their weight behind him, but they need to be very careful. If they haven't noticed, there is a rising wave of anger among the oppressed masses, which is why when Tinubu lost his son, and Buhari's son had his accident, they got vitriol instead of sympathy from Nigerians.

I'm actually pissed that this man still wants a second term!!!

You and ilk continue to reason with emotions and not your head; you are deliberately espousing ignorance and bigotry on the matter because it serves your innate nature to hate on these ppl and what they represent.
I could equally do the same and cite several under - reported atrocities committed against the Fulani or northerners and ask you what did they do to deserve their treatment.

As for media bias, well this a worldwide known fact; studies show even the American press give a 449% increase in coverage to attacks linked to Muslims; the same cannot be any different with the Nigerian media (dominated by southern Christians) who give more emphasis on alleged Fulani attacks and almost zero percent on attacks or crimes against them; note how they even went as far as identifying the victims of the recent Benue attacks, interviewing local indigenes for their views, inviting so called experts (from one side with their premeditated political agenda) for comments along with being guided by pre-loaded biased questions that leads the interviewee to a desired pre-determined response (if in doubt, critically watch channels, AIT, Silverbird etc with an analytical mind) - while the Fulani side of the conflict is almost totally ignored.

You are entitled to your views on Buhari and continue to make negative comparison between him and Jonathan - obviously without looking into the facts on the ground.
FYI, did you know that Jonathan is the life patron of the Fulani cattle breeders association?
Did you know that Jonathan ordered the restoration of all the overtaken grazing routes and reserves of the Fulani - hence reason they made him a life patron - based on the recommendations of a task force technical committee, headed by Gabriel Suswan the then governor of Benue State (because his state was often the hot spot of such crisis)
Did you know that to this end Jonathan further released to sum of 100 Billion Naira as recommended by the committee to the 36 state governors who each in turn diverted the money and didn't use it for the purpose it was earmarked for?
Did you know that as we speak now that the Benue State governor has over 700 armed militia who he hired on N15,000 monthly salary, who unfortunately are now being owed over 5 months?
Do you know the potential security risk of having such high number of youths armed with AK45 and without money?
https://www.nairaland.com/4279850/shocking-military-nabs-armed-gang
Do you know that these militia have been harassing and exploiting the Fulani under the guise of the Benue anti grazing law and in consequence have been partly responsible for the current reprisals?
Do you know that other armed gangs armed and sponsored by local politicians have long been killing and exploiting their own ppl as well as stealing cattle disguised as Fulani men?
Do you know that among such criminals is the notorious gang led by one named Ghana who still wanted by the state govt and responsible for the Zaki Biam killings?

This is not about emotions; it's simple logic, how do one group of people always get accused of maiming, killing and wantonly destroying private property everywhere they go in Nigeria? Using your logic, the rest of Nigeria must be jumping over themselves to set up Fulani people. 50 million plus people are holding meetings in secret to tell lies, and cover the injustice of grazing space on their land, they have denied their kins-men from up-country. BTW, please note that you are theone who has played the religion card in this discussion - not me (I have 2 muslim grandmas and 2 christian grandpas with a mix of relatives from both faiths).

I have not denied that there might have been attacks on them - possibly reprisals from aggrieved natives. I also have not denied that their cattle has been rustled - again it happens across sub-saharan Africa. My point here is, these barbarians when 'provoked' (whatever that means) take their killing spree to the next level, and invade natives to kill even women and children! I saw the pictures of a recent attack - they plucked out the eyes of a freaking toddler, and bashed in the heads of their victims - it doesn't get any more neaderthal than that.

BTW, you can't deny that the herdsmen have also been telling fantastic lies . . . e.g I read an account in which they claimed that in a single incidence, 1000 cattle were rustled - come on Man - how in the world is this possible? You would need at least 50 trucks to move that many cattle - it's almost impossible not to leave a trail which the herds-men can track to the real rustlers. In the average township / village, where would they hide such a large number of cattle?

I have up till this latest killings been naive about Nigeria (patriotism, enlightenment and yada-yada), but I have come to realize that the North does have an imperialist agenda for the rest of Nigeria, or how else can you explain the arrogance of Miyetti Allah in dictating to a state (of which they are not native to) what laws should be passed? How can you explain how herds-men have murdered hundreds across a very diverse geography (SE, SS, SW, Middle-Belt)? While I do detest Nnamdi Kanu and PDP (though no fan of APC either), how can any impartial person rationalize away the heavy-handedness of Buhari's government in dealing with IPOB, but turning a blind eye to herds-man up until the latest uproar (the only reason for this is cos election is close, cos PMB didn't say pim during the southern kaduna crisis).

You are so blinded by this whole APC-PDP nonsense that you think everyone here thinks like that - some of us are actually very well educated professionals / business-men doing well in our fields away from the fracas. So cos Buhari / APC is involved, we should keep quiet? Check my prior posts, I have rooted for this man in the past, but his performance, attitude and aloofness have been disgusting. The same arrogance that leads a group of people from up-country to lay claims to large swathes of land they won't pay for in the name of cattle colonies.

You are inferring that some armed men pose as herds-men to launch these attacks to paint the real herds-men black, and I say to you, the men caught for Falae's kidnap - were they yoruba or tiv? The same herds-men who El-Rufai and Lai Mohammed have told Nigerians severally are from Chad and Niger? The same herds-men, El-Rufai claimed to pay off? You need a better line my brother.

You are claiming Ortom armed militia, I can't comment on this, cos this is my first time of hearing this. However, I ask you - why are you surprised? The level of anarchy in the country currently would lead to the rise of several militia if the status-quo continues with no justice or security. If people lack faith in the security services, what are they to do? When the SE was plagued with robbers, and the police were deemed complicit, did we not witness Bakassi? Did Boko Haram not lead to the rise of CJTF?

I typically can't be bothered with replying posts here cos I feel there are too many cretins posting crap + I don't like to think about the mess called Nigeria, but these killings for me are the height of wickedness and oppression, and to hear anyone even try to justify it (as a lot of Northerners I have been reading in the news have) is pure disgusting.

I will not indulge you in an endless circle of suppositions and emotionally laced arguments that are obviously driven by deep seated hatred for a particular tribe, ppl and religion; without any consideration for objectivity but to score cheap politically motivated points.
However, I would like you to counter the following facts - if you can.
1) There are two sides to every story.
2) The side of the Fulani herdsmen is not being adequately covered by the media, who often prefer to concentrate on the victims of alleged Fulani attacks but hardly ever investigating further as to the root cause of such attacks and whether even if they can be attributed to the Fulani as claimed.
3) Nigerian media is almost entirely owned and controlled by the Christian South and PDP members - it is therefore quite easy to see why the media is skewed towards selective journalism and lending itself as a willing tool and platform for political jobbers and enemies of state to advance their divisive propaganda via exploitation of existing fault lines of ethnicity, regions and religion as it applies to this crisis and beyond; ultimately their aim is at whipping up sentiments and emotions in order to discredit this government, the president and all he stands for or represent; at the expense of national unity.
4) At the crux of the problem is the failure of both warring parties to obtain justice and redress whenever their rights are violated and as a consequence resulting in taking the law into their hands - the present uproar is because the Fulani had been more successful/deadly at extracting revenge for themselves. I put it to you that had it been the other way round and the were the ones on the receiving end, no one including the media would batter and eyelid let alone make the headlines.

No I do not see any arrogance in Miyetti Allah; their statements have been responsible and enlightening, giving a rare glimpse of the other side of the conflict; unlike other socio-political groups such as Ohaneze and Afeneifere, OPC, CAN, etc. who often heat up the polity with inflammatory divisive - bordering on incitement.

Yes, governor Ortom's sponsored illegal militia are armed and have been caught with AK47 as confirmed severally by the police.

Olu Falae's abductors and attackers have long been arrested, identified and convicted; in fact nobody is denying that Fulani are not involved in killings but the fact is that they are not involved in all the killings attributed to them - note even as we speak now, Gana and his gang known for killing his own ppl are still wanted and at large in Benue State.

Simply because your mind cannot comprehend the magnitude of 1000 cattle being rustle doesn't make it impossible and a lie; in fact I can recall when rustling of 2000 herds of cattle from the former vice President's (Namadi Sambo) ranched farm made headline news during Jonathan's time.

You spoke of silly posts by cretins yet you came up with something as ridiculously stupid as northern imperialist agenda - as if Benue itself is not part of the north.

BTW, being well educated doesn't necessarily equate to being intelligent - our last president was supposedly a Phd holder but evidently very stupid; not to mention his equally less intelligent graduate wife.
