According to reports, this Prince William's dramatic new haircut cost £180 but it was a way to stop Harry's teasing. The Duke is believed to have taken advice for the short style from his wife Kate's hairdresser, Richard Ward.

The prince's hair was cut by the Ward’s deputy Joey Wheeler in Kensington Palace. Wheeler was a senior stylist who has worked at Ward's salon for 11 years, apparently goes for the 'scissor over comb' freehand technique, giving the hair a soft finish.

A source told The Sun : "Wills sought Richard’s advice, but it was Joey who was the one to visit the Palace and give him his new buzz cut.

"The Prince got sick of being teased by Harry about going bald and this seemed like a practical solution — and one that should stop all the digs too."

Prince William showcased a new shaven haircut Thursday as he supported a national recruitment drive to help veterans find work in the NHS.
