Endeavor to read till the end...
King Lamurudu had 3 children viz a viz; Kukuwa, Gogombiri and Oduduwa. When war happened in Mecca in those days, the 3 children of Lamurudu went in different directions, Kukuwa went on a far journey to a land now called Brazil, thats why till today some people in brazil still worship ogun and do Ifa religion. Oduduwa on the other hand made a 90 day sorjourn into Yoruba land and Gogombiri went to the north to create a town called Gobiri.
In the year 1804, when there was a new king of Gobiri, He received some visitors which were fulani men led by Usman Dan Fodio, the people of the town warned the king then about this visitors but he didn't heed their warnings. He showed these visitors the nook and cranny of the town thinking they were peace loving individuals. In the year 1808, the fulani men led by Usman Dan Fodio killed the king and started ruling Gombiri, It was this old gombiri that now metamorphosised into Sokoto that you know today. Usman Dan fodio yhe. Started sending warriors to neighboring towns and villages in the north leaving dead bodies in their wake. This was how they started ruling the whole Hausa axis. They later sent warriors to Ilorin in Kwara state which was been ruled by King Afonja then. They used thesame tactics they used for the king of Gobiri then posing as visitors, Afonja also received them warmly despite warnings from people of Ilorin, King Afonja was later killed by the Fulani men led by one Alimi and they then seized control of Ilorin that's why up till today Ilorin which was a Yoruba town is now being ruled by Fulani men. Up till today, you can hear some Ilorin people calling themselves Hausa. These Fulani men didn't stop here, they sent warriors to Oshogbo too also posing as Visitors but due to the help of the then Are ona kakanfo and his warriors who already knew what they were up to, they were defeated in Oshogbo. Thank God they didn't succeed in Oshogbo, if they had succeded, they would have conquered the neighboring Oyo and other Yoruba states.
These people have started again that's why you hear things like Cattle colonies ( Posing as ordinary visitors which was the tactics they were using then), they are on a mission to seize control of the whole of Nigeria so that their cattle can graze freely anywhere, turning other tribes to slave under them. WE MUST BE READY, THIS PEOPLE SHOULDN'T BE GIVEN ANY CHANCES.... NOT AGAIN.

The Kukawa descendants are the Kanuri of Borno state, they ,the ancestors of the Gobir Hausas and Oduduwa were reputed to be brothers and they all travelled from the east together to today's Nigeria .Some also include the ancestors of the Bariba tribe in the group.
The Brazilian Yorubas were victims of the Slave trade.
