Former President of Nigeria, General Olusegun Obassanjo has expressed his disapproval at the failure of the present administration under the leadership of President Buhari. He said he was aware of the president’s lack of economic knowledge and understanding prior to his being elected but believed he would thrive with the help of like-minded ministers.


He also accused the Federal government of being callous for allowing the fight between herdmen and farmers which claimed the lives of many in the middlebelt to turn messy. The inability of Buhari’s government is another highlighted point which made him conclude the president should rather not seek re-election.


Obasanjo who got a Phd degree of recent revealed his criticism of Jonathan’s administration which led to his support for Buhari in 2015 was not down to personal reason but for the benefits of Nigeria as a country. He maintained that even Jonathan had realized his mistakes during his regime and he credits him for coming out publicly to apologize.
