What a shame. Where are his working kits? Such a bad way to die after all the suffering Buhari brought.

Soo sad, something must kill a man,

However, this distribution engineers dont like to abide by safety rules, see the man in the picture , he used no PPE, thats too bad.

To the general public, safety at work is very paramount, there's no point rushing or doing ITK, this is ur life we're talking about.

Why did he approach the high tension wire without gloves? So painful

Too bad. But it transcends my reasoning how a nepa guy would do such jobs without being sufficiently kitted for it or putting off the power from source better still. RIP to him anyway.

This could have been avoided if he followed safety procedures, some of these phcn officials just operate like they have extra lives. I fear electricity more than anything, i remeber one time my AC shocked me and i had erection for like 4 hours straight!!! angry

The problem with most Nigerian workers is this mentality of..."na so i dey do am before"

Unsafe acts and improper use of safery gadgets abound in almost all the organisations in Nigeria.

What happened to isolating the transformer?
What happened to the proper use of PPEs?
Where was the safety officer when the man wanted to climb that pole?

As usual, we will type RIP.

How are we so sure he is Phcn worker, just because he carried a ladder climb pole doesn't make him one.

Rip to the dead

That's an electrician probably called to do an illegal job. Distribution companies know better. No gloves,no PPE or safety boots. Even look at the ladder sef.

This death was totally preventable if he took necessary outage permit since he was working in a high hazardous area; an intersection of a 33kv, 11kv and 0.415kv lines and he still was without proper gear.

May he find rest wherever he is now.

So PHCN doesn't provide their workers with protection kits? What a shame! Do they also steal money for security?
