PRAYER SHOULD NEVER BE OMITTED prayer, under no circumstances, should never be omitted.there is no excuse to omit prayer, the person who is not able to pray standing can pray sitting,if he is not able, he can pray leaning,if he is not able ,he can pray lying down, if he is not able, he can move his head,if he is not able, he can move his eyes. man, as long as he is conscious, should never omit prayer. it is stated in the islamic law that whosoever deliberately omits his prayers because he does not them as a religious and legitimate duty is to be regarded as an unbeliever. deliberate omission of prayers constitutes the difference between belief and unbelief. a boy or a girl is asked to pray at the age of seven , and is punished for not performing prayers at ten. PROPHET MUHAMMED'S MANNER OF PERFORMING PRAYERS (PBUH) prophet muhammed (s.a.w) said,"perform your prayers in the same manner you seen me doing". therefore, here is the explanation for the prophet's manner of prayer: 1> To perform completely ablution, adopting the method commanded by ALLAH (s.w.a) Q5 vs 6, prophet muhammed (s.a.w) said,"prayer without ablution is invalid". 2> To turn one's face and whole body towards the ka'aba, intending by heart to perform the prayer which he wants to fulfil, whether it is an obligatory or supererogatory prayer, the whoshipper shuold not pronounce his intention openly,b'cos neither the prophet nor his companions used to utter the intention for prayer. 3>To pronounce "TAKBIRAT AL-IHRAM" that is to say ALLAH AKBAR celebrating by that the greatness of ALLAH (s.w.a) and looking meanwhile, downward to the place where he will prostrate. 4>To raise one's hands up to the level of shoulder or near to the lobes of his ears, while pronouncing "TAKBIRAT AL-IHRAM" 5> To put one's right hand over his left hand wrist, and put them both over his chest as the prophet used to do. 6> It is advisable that the worshipper recite this OPENING SUPPLICATION saying: ALLAHUMMA BAID BAYNI WABAYENA KHATAYAYA KAMA BA ADTA BAYENA L-MASHIRIQ WAL MAGRIB, ALLAHUMMA NAQQINIY MIN KHATAYAYA KAMA YUNAQA THAWBUL ABYADU MINA DANAS ,ALLAHUMMA IGISILINI MIN KHATOYAYA BIL MAI WA THALGI WAL BARAD. insha ALLAH i will continue. |

then, the worshiper bows in ruku raising his hands up to the level of his shoulders or ears while saying allahu akbar then bend down, making his head and back on one level and putting his hands with the fingers spread on his knees. the worshiper should feel serenity and tranquility while bowing,he should say thrice at least "subhana rabbiyal a'zim" it is advisable to say while bowing in addition to that: subhanaka allahuma robbana wabi hamdika, allahuma ighfir liy. 8>to raise one's head up from bowing, raising one's hands to the level of his shoulders or ears, saying, in case of being imam or praying alone: "sami'a allahu liman hamidah" while resuming the standing position,he should say: robbana walakal - hamdu hamdan katheeran tayyiban mubarakan feehi mil'a ssamowati wa mil'a liarid wa mil'a ma baynahuma wa mil'a a shi'ta min shayin ba'ad. but, if the worshiper is a follower, and led in his prayer by the imam he should say when rising up "robbana wa laka li hamdu" e.t.c |

it is advisable for the imam, the follower,or who prays alone to add also: A'ala thana'i wal majid A'aq ma qala li'abud wa qul'na laka abud , allaumma la ma'nia lima A'antayta wala mu'utiya lima mana'ata wala ya'afau dhuljad minka lijad. the worshiper is advised to put his hands on his chest , as he had done before he bowed.both wa'il ibn haggar and sahl ibn sa'iyd reported that this was the manner of the prophet when he used to raised his head up after bowing. 9> To prostrate saying ALLAHU AKBAR, he should touch the ground with his knees before touching it with his hands ,if that is possible to him.if not, he is permitted to touch the ground by his hands before his knees. his fingers and toes should be directed towards the QIBLA makkah, and his hands should be stretched, and the fingers close together and not seperated.in prostration, the worshiper should use these seven organ: the forehead, the nose, both hands, both knees, and the internal part of the toes. these seven should touch the ground. then the worshiper should say thrice or more SUBHANA ROBBIYAL A'ALA. |

CONTINUATION ON THE PROPHET MANNERS OF PERFORMING SALAT. it is advisable to say: SABHANNAKA ALLAHUMMA RABBANA WA BI HAMDIKA, ALLAHUMA IGHFIR-LIY. it is recommendable for the worshiper to exceed more and more in supplication s and ask for more from his lord, because the prophet,(pbhm) said: as for bowing "ruku " you should glorify your lord during performing it , as for prostration , you should do your best to supplicate and ask for nore from Him, because your supplications during prostration are more worthy to be accepted. |
Re: Islamic Jurispudence Of This Week by miftaudeen(m): 8:45pm On May 13, 2011 |
continuation, the worshiper should ask his lord for prosperity both in this life and hereafter . whelther it is an obligatory prayer or an optional prayer.the worshiper while prostrating, should neither bring his hands close to his sides, nor stick his abdomen to his thighs, or his thighs to his legs.the worshiper's arms should be raised up from the ground because the prophet(s.a.w) prohibited putting the arms and stretching them on the ground, ordering that "adjust your prostrstion , keep straight in it,and strech not your hands on the ground as dogs do" |
Re: Islamic Jurispudence Of This Week by miftaudeen(m): 3:22pm On May 22, 2011 |
CONTINUATION ON THE PROPHET MANNER OF PERFORMING SALAT 10> He should raise his head from prostration saying: "ALLAHU AKBAR" and lays his left foot flat on the ground and sits upon it , keeping his right foot erected, his hands on his thighs and knees, and says: ROBI IGFRI LIY WA RIHAMNIY WA'HADINIY WARZUQNIY WA ANFINIY WAJIBRINIY the worshiper should feel tranquility during this pause. 11> To prostrate again saying ALLAHU AKBAR and repeating during his prostration what he did and said in the first prostration. 12>then the worshiper raises his head saying ALLAHU AKBAR taking a pause similar to the pause between the two prostration; this is called "the pause for rest." it is recommended for the worshiper to do such a pause, but there is no sin if he desists from it. then the worshiper rises up and stands supporting on his knees, or on the ground if he cannot support himself on the knees, read the fatihah and some other verses of the QURA'N and do as just he did in the first RAKAAH (unit of prayer).those who pray behind the imam should not compete with him in the prayer actios as the prophet(s.a.w) said: the imam is to be followed. if he says ALLAHU AKBAR then says the same after him.if he bow in RUKU bow after him. if he says SAMIA-L-LAHU LIMAN HAMDAH then says RABBANA WA LAKA-L-HAMD and if he prostrates, then prostrate after him ( bukhar V :1 P.37) |
Re: Islamic Jurispudence Of This Week by miftaudeen(m): 9:04pm On May 30, 2011 |
continuation on the prophet manners of performing salat 13>if the prayer consist of two rakaat (two units of prayers) as the morning prayer " fajr",feast prayer "eid", or the friday prayer jumu'a, the worshiper sits after the second prostration, with his right foot erect, sitting on his left foot laid down, putting his right hand on his right thigh, all his fingers close-fisted save the index finger which he used to point out as a sign for his monotheistic belief, and his left hand is put on his left thigh.there is nothing in the way,if the worshiper keeps both the little and ring fingers closed, while rounding his thumb and middle finger in a ring shape, and uses his index finger to point out as a sign for his monotheistic belief. it has been related that the prophet (s.a.w) had practiced both of these ways, thus, it is advisable for the worshiper to perform the first way one and the other on the second time. |
Re: Islamic Jurispudence Of This Week by miftaudeen(m): 7:06pm On Jun 12, 2011 |
CONTINUATION: the worshiper reads the Tashahud while sitting and says: Al-tahiyatu lillahi wasalawatu watayibatu assalamu alayka ayuha -n nabiyu wa rahmatu llahi wa barakatuhu. assalamu alayina wa ala ibadi llahi s-salihiyn. ashadu a lla ilaha ila llahu wa ashadu anna muhammada abduhu wa rasuluhu . allahuma solliy ala muhammad wa ala aali muhammod, kama sollayta ala ibrahima wa aali ibrahima. innaka hamidun majid.wa barik ala muhammad wa ala aali muhammad kama barkta ala ibrahima wa aali ibrahima innaka hamidun majid. after reciting the teshahud, the worshiper asks ALLAH'S protection from four evils,he should says: allahuma inii ahudhubika min adhaabi jahanama wa min adhaabil qabur wa min fitnatil mahayah wal mamaat wa min fitnatil masiihi ddajaal then the worshiper will say assalamu alaykum warahmatullah to the right and to the left. |

ramadan is approaching the month of forgiveness, blessing etc what is our responsibilities? |
Re: Islamic Jurispudence Of This Week by miftaudeen(m): 4:27am On Jul 28, 2011 |
Allah(s.w.a) enjoins fasting during the month of ramadan on all mature and able muslims.it is performed by first expressing the intention to do so. and then by abstaining from food, drink and other things which spoil the fast from the break of down until sunset. the expiation for invalidating the fast on account of permanent inability to fast (e.g oldage etc) is feeding a poor person by providing him with a meal or what equals it in value . The expiation for invalidating the fast on the account of sickness or other accidental reasons is to fast later one day for each ot the days in which the fast is invalidated. menses and childbirth render women's fasting unacceptable .they have to make up for the missed fasting days by fasting them later. those who invalidate their fast by sexual intercourse between dawn and sunset have to undertake both feeding the poor and fasting later two consecutive month, |

11>Engage relentlessly in the praiseworthy adhkar, tahmid, tahleel, tabir and solatu alan-nabiyy (s.w.a) "let not your tongue waiver from the constant remembrance of Allah " 12>study and reflect upon the book of Allah, even if it is a verse per day; 13>cultivate the habit of spending everyday (sodaqoh) no matter how little. 14>Always remember the muslims in your prayers because prayer is the brain of worship and also the sword of believer. 15>create time to visit the sick as this will remind you of Allah's favor on you. 16>try to attend tafsir in your area. 17>Be eager to give out the zakatul fitr at the stipulated period of time. 18>Observe the islamic injunctions particularly lowering of gaze to maximize rewards. 19>Give special focus to the last 10days for seclusion in the mosques,I'itikaf for them lies the laylatul Qodr which is better than a thousand month. 20>Find ways to put a smile on as many muslims faces as possible for this is pleasing to Allah (s.w.a). |

EXCELLENT DEEDS OF RAMADAN 1>fasting:The best deed of this month is fasting.Allah's messager said: "All the deeds of the children of Adam are them, and the reward of good deeds is multiplied ten times to seven hundred times.Allah (s.w.a) says: Except for fasting, which is for me, and I will give the reward for it. He has abandoned his food, drink and desires for my sake.' There are two pleasures for the fasting person; one at the time of breaking his fast, and the other at the time ehen he will, meet his lord. the smell coming from the mouth of a fasting person is better to Allah than the aroma of musk" (Al-Bukhari and Muslim ) These bountiful rewards and merits will not be attained merely by abandoning one's routine menu of food or drink. Rather it will be achieved only by those who really observe fasting in a proper manner, and shun all evil deeds and vices, such as telling lies, backbiting, false speech, obscene behavior, and absurd acts. Allah's messenger (s.a.w) said: "whosoever doesn't abstain from speaking falsely, and acting upon false speech, Allah doesn't care for his abstaining from eating and drinking"(Al-Bukhari). And he(s.a.w) said: "fasting is shield; so on a day that one is fasting, he should not indulge in offensive behavior or arguing; if anyone verbally abuses him or provokes him,he should say: I am fasting" (Al-Bukhari and Muslim ). A shield is a useful means to defend against the attack of one's enemy.similarly, fasting is a tool that protects one from committing acts of disobedience and evil. Moreover, fasting acts as a shield to save him from the Hellfire.while fasting, a muslim is keeping his ears, eyes, tongue, and all other parts of his body engaged in his fast. in other words, no part or particle of his body is excluded from obedience to Allah(s.w.a).The status of a fasting person. as opposed to his condition while he does not fast are unequal.Rather,it is easy for one to see the obvious differences between the two cases. 2>PROVIDING FOR ONE TO BREAK THE FAST Another good deed is to provide the food or drink with which one will break their fast. "Allah's messenger(s.a.w) said: "He who provides a fasting person something to break his fasting, will earn the same reward as the one who was observing the fast, without diminishing the reward of the latter at all."At-tirmidhi. |
