The Benue State Police Command received a distress call yesterday 4/1/2018 that, along Makurdi-Gboko road, a Toyota Camry was being attacked by some hoodlums on motorcycles.

However, the driver was able to drive smartly into the Police Training School, where a Police Response Team immediately met him.

Inquiry revealed that the Hausa family was heading to Calabar from Makurdi, but had a punctured tyre at Wannune, where the hoodlums attacked them. Although, the vehicle was damaged, none of the occupants sustain any injury.

Escort was provided to the family by the Police Team, who postponed the journey to enable them repair the damaged vehicle.

Attacking innocent & defenceless people is evil. Civilized humans use legal & moral means to address their grievance. The wicked criminals shall be reap what they have sown. F O O L S!

How and when did all the love I experienced from these tribes to a stranger change?what are we doing to ourselves with all these hate?why do we hate each other so much?

It all start when we started playing politic with everything and the illiteracy of people in power began to manifest.

It's so sad that a beautiful country like has embraced the worst kind of behavior and ideologies from other countries

This is wrong.

This is exactly what I was afraid of, and that all Northerners will be termed a Fulani Man and get attacked.

This is wrong. The attacks and killings should stop on all sides, because in conflicts every one is a loser.

Why can't we all just get along?I was born and grew up in the West and the Yoruba's have accommodated me very well.

I had my first 3 years of Secondary Schooling in the Old Sokoto State, and I lived with an Hausa family that took me as one of their sons.

I served and got my first Post-graduate degree from the East, and it is still the best time of my life,as I got treated as a son of the soil and many years later I still keep in touch and sponsor some youth programmes there.

How and when did all the love I experienced from these tribes to a stranger change?what are we doing to ourselves with all these hate?why do we hate each other so much?

Can we just get along please. If we do not get ourselves and act together, I see a Nigeria where our hate for each other will bring us all down.

Seriously bro Sokoto? Which school b dat Abeg? sultan bello, army day, or fgc?

Because your President, your leadership has done little to enhance the state of the nation. He has been very sectional, very divisive and these are the fruits.

this is really sad, thank God no one died.

No hausa fulani man is safe in Tiv territory and no Tiv man is safe in Herdsmen territory, no thanks to this incompetent man in Aso rock.

When it looks like a leader is supporting one side in a conflict, it always leads to this.

Exactly.

Now they are hoodlums, but if it were Tivs that were attacked it would be suspected herdsmen. like on channels yesterday. the caster said a fulani had an argument with a tiv and died, but if it was the tiv the died it wld be an attack..... God is watching.

Why do I feel this is an attempt to draw tribal sentiments, come on people this is 2018 you can't keep being dumb, people get attacked all the time, Infact a family friend was robbed on the expressway by fulanis and died few days later from gun shot wounds , So WTF!
Why would the op tag it "Hausa family ",so does that mean they were robbed because they were hausas?to think a moderator brought this to fp is more worrisome undecided ,what does the op aim to gain, tribal sympathy,so what about people from other states that get robbed too in the north?, mteeeeeeeeeeeeeeew

Stop praising Nigeria unnecessarily.

Nigeria has been in disunity since 1966 n that's where we can go back to and sort out the problem or break.

Tinubu,Obasanjo, dele momudu,Tunde bakare, mbaka caused it,they foisted an extremist, a tribalistic and uneducated leader on us,whose body language is 97 & 5% standard of administration, thereby distributing hate among the citizens, my prayer 2019,is for us to get it right this time, by voting in a young, sound, intelligent, a leader like Solomon irrespective of tribe, Party and religion.

Your people who are? You only mentioned Tiv in your rants, which are clear for all to see.

I cannot read your mind to know what you were trying to say, I can only make inferences from the words you type.

Its not my fault or problem if your statements fail to convey your thoughts. Work on your coherence if you want to be understood better.
On the contrary, I think your inferential skill is very poor because immediately I read what eternaltruths said, I knew he was referring to the Igbos. This is because he asked "where do you see the Tiv people in huge numbers in the north''? And he followed it up by saying: "I hope you're not targeting the properties of my people". He was clearly responding to your ''reprisals from the North comment''. In other words, he was inferring that the reprisals will affect the Igbos because the Tivs are not many in the North.

This is my problem with this country and one of the reasons we can never be united.

Why the emphasis on Hausa Family? Why not just say a Family was attacked? angry
If an attack is carried out by the other side it is termed "suspected hoodlums" but if the victims now are Tiv it will be termed not even suspected but "Fulani Herdsmen"
