World 7 Current World’s Youngest Presidents and Leaders

The world's youngest leaders hail from across the globe — from democracies, monarchies, and dictatorships in Eastern and Western Europe, Asia, and the Middle East.

While six of them are men, the youngest, Vanessa D'Ambrosio, the 28-year-old captain regent of San Marino is the only woman among the list.

Africa takes a back stage as no current leader in the continent is below age of 40.

Here are list of seven current young leaders:

Emmanuel Macron

Born: December 21, 1977 Amiens, France

Age: 39

Country: France

Office: President of France

Declaration date: 14 May 2017

Macron is the President of France and ex officio Co-Prince of Andorra, having assumed these offices on 14 May 2017. A former civil servant and investment banker, he studied philosophy at Paris Nanterre University, completed a Master's of Public Affairs at Sciences Po, and graduated from the École nationale d'administration (ENA) in 2004. He worked as an Inspector of Finances in the Inspectorate General of Finances (IGF), then became an investment banker at Rothschild & Cie Banque

After the Houthi (a political movement) takeover of the government, Saleh Ali al-Sammad became the senior Houthi leader in Sana’a. Meanwhile, he previously served as a political adviser to President Abdrabbuh Mansur Hadi, appointed in September 2014.

3. Emil Dimitriev
Born: March 19, 1979, Probištip
Age: 38
Country: Macedonia (FYROM)
Office: Acting Prime Minister of the Republic of Macedonia
Declaration Date: January 15, 2016

5. Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani
Born: June 3, 1980, Doha, Qatar
