is not generating income because the fund disbursed for its maintenance was looted over times, now the same looters want to acquire a national assets with a looted fund!
No is the answer
Tell me one venture that government has managed well, the ports-air and sea that are huge money spinners could not be managed by our useless govt.

You are now talking about a moribund National theater, even state house could not be managed by them. OK don't sell, oya concession

I was there a year ago and it's a mess. Do they have a better plan. There is nothing theatre about the place. Only one hall functiins and it is used for private parties. The cultural market is now a beer parlour. How many of them have actually visited it of late?
exactly.. Instead of rotting off, it should be sold out

What income is it generating for the country??

What measures are put in place in terms of maintenance??

Since we don't value anything in this country, they should sell it to those who understand the value..

Also, it is certain that these redundant money gulping beings talking about speaking for the nation conceive a selfish and ulterior motive, so they are speaking for themselves indirectly.
A sensible move would have been to get an experienced foreign private firm to manage it, generate revenue from its facilities and agree on a profit sharing model with govt.

There is no need to sell it off. The edifice can be given to a private firm on a long lease, to renovate and generate revenue from it and remit it to govt. Unfortunately, the greedy elements in govt will not let this scheme work out.

The MMA2 is an example of a PPP investment, that worked but is now being scuttled by greedy elements in govt.
