AlexReports:
Lagos, Nigeria — Controversy is trailing the disappearance of $100,000 from the coffers of Nigeria's examination board. The exam board alleges that a clerk in Benue State has blamed a snake for swallowing the missing money. The money was supposed to be remitted to the agency.

Fabian Benjamin, spokesman of the Joint Admissions and Matriculations Board, told CNN that a staffer confessed to auditors a snake had "swallowed" the missing money. "She confessed that she had the money, kept it in a vault in the office but a snake came and swallowed the money," Benjamin told CNN.
"The staff and others in her category that are found culpable have been suspended and will be handed over to appropriate authorities," he added.

The clerk, identified as Philomena Chiesche, denied the allegations, saying the exam board invented the story about the snake. She also accused the exam board of turning her in to authorities, who she claims still haven't questioned her about the missing funds.

"I did not say any money was swallowed by a snake. Nobody questioned me about that case. I am just a clerk and I serve under directors who are accounting officers. I wonder why they are personalizing the case?" the clerk told CNN.

Social media erupted at the nature of the allegations. A Twitter account has been made for the snake. Nigeria's Economic and Financial Crimes Commission tweeted that the agency's national symbol, the eagle, shows no mercy for "money-swallowing snakes."

It is getting interesting. Initially, we were told that she was the accountant. Meanwhile, she's just a clerk.
Personally, I believe that they just wanted to make her the sacrificial lamb. Heads should roll.

The said theft happened under GEJ, it was discovered as a auditing excercise ordered by the PMB administration. Atleast comprehend and understand the story first before making senseless remarks.

CNN is degenerated into a fake news channels, CNN is fast to report missing 33million naira but can't report the killings in benue, taraba and other part of the country. I used to love CNN but right now I am limiting my viewing if the channel, trump, Philippine president and other world leaders have called them fake news channel

They want to sacrifice that clerk.
They want to shut her mouth and make her pay for what the Ogas at top have chop.
The money in question is not what she sold in a day, not a month revenue. We are talking about sales of a yr plus.
Tell me why the Accountants and other ogas did not order the money to be paid into JAMB's account?
The Clerk should get a good layer and tell the lawyer the whole truth and u will see hw heads will start rolling.
Sh!thole JAMB in a Sh!thole country.

No difference between GEJ's govt and that of BUHARI as far as stealing/corruption is concerned.

The only palpable difference is GEJ has "tushed" thieves and corruption was "international" . Buhari, a local champion with local thieves who aren't "tushed" enough to give better justifications for their stealing. If not grass cutting it'd be snake.

If corruption under the two governments were to be "DESIGNERS"

GEJ- GUCCI
BUBU- CUGGI (don't ask me what brand name is that ask my bros for Aba)

Or car brands
GEJ - BMW
BUBU - TATA

It is good to understand issue very well before commenting. The money was generated in the past during GEJ(the clerk and possibly with the director(s) may have stolen the money). TSA is a good step towards stamping out corruption.

We have been entertained and distracted long enough. Now to more serious matters like blowing some people back to base in 2019. Nigerians are more interested in that.
