No evidence to show who burned what.
This is dry season and bush burning is going on everywhere in the south to prepare for the farming season.
Why would the Fulani's burn the land the want their cows to feed on.
At this age and time, if this is how Nigeria intends tackling problems, we shouldn't blame anyone but ourselves.

Arrest them for armed robbery or theft, because that's what they are doing. Sell their cows to livestock farmers who grow their own pastures.

Something is not very clear here. They are complaining and the cows they complain of are right in their fronts still grazing. What does it take them to chase the bastards away from there? Though one young man said some of the cows belong to the ogas, so this matter is somehow interwoven.

Herdsmen have guns, they have no guns and they had been warned against violence.
This is the tricky bit for farmers. Most farmers are peaceful people who just want to live and let others live. In fact, most farming communities are the most peaceful.
In Oke-Ogun area, the farmers at one time started poisoning the leaves of their crops and many cows died. The herdsmen then started avoiding that area. If the government is not going to effectively curtail the herdsmen, then I am very sure the farmers will protect themselves effectively.
