Remorse is an emotional expression of personal regret felt by a person after commiting an act which they deem to be shameful and wrong. In this case, we refer to actions that are displeasing to God.Many times we go against the wishes and commandment of God.But until we realise that we have sinned and are really contrite for that sin, we cannot truly seek repentance.

In 2 Samuel 12, after King David had taken Bathsheba to himself and murdered her husband Uriah in the warfront. When Prophet Nathan came and told David that his actions offended God, he tore his clothes and put on sacks clothes and wouldn’t speak or eat for three days.

He was remorseful because he loved God and realised how much his action had offended God.To have an healthy relationship with God,Our utmost desire should be to remove all blocks that hinder our relationship with God.

As impossible as it is to serve two masters, so it is to love God and sin.Our love for God should make us aliens to sin.
