Yobe State Government has directed immediate closure of Government Girl’s Secondary School, Dapchi in Bursari Local Government Area of the state, following an attack on the school by suspected Boko Haram insurgents Commissioner for Education, Alhaji Muhammed Alami, who disclosed this while addressing newsmen, said that the closure of the school had become necessary after the attacks and due to food items stolen from the school by the suspected Boko Haram members.

Although, he said there was no abduction of any of the students, he insisted that it would rather be too hasty for him to comment further on that, stressing that “we are working to find out the number of students who are not on the register.”

He went on: “Let me tell you that as of now we do not have any information regarding abduction of any of the students by the Boko Haram sect.

“We have received a directive from the state government to close the school and allow the parents to take their children back home until peace returned to the school.

A substantial food items were carted away by the attackers.” However, Commissioner of Police for Yobe State Command, Abdulmaliki Sunmonu, who confirmed the attack on the school by suspected Boko Haram insurgents, said that Boko Haram members stormed the town by 6:52pm and started shooting sporadically into the air before security operatives were mobilised to the location

How come d govt or anyone else is yet to say anything whatsoever about d attack on d skool?? U are yet to know which students are not in d register but yet U know no student was abducted?? So U want Ppl to believe it was jus a robbery abi? And U are closing down becos of a robbery? How stupid do these Ppl think we are?

Funny how the northerners keep playing hide and seek with the lives of innocent school girls just to shield their tribal and ethnic president. If girls can not be found it means there are missing. If they are missing just after boko attacked the school it means they have been abducted.
Keep hiding the true facts of boko taking those girls and watch them release a video with the girls in their defeated sambisa camp.
