We keep on having these preachers who claim to perform miracles on Television all the time. But we have many sick people in hospitals, we have many disabled people in special schools and homes. Many more are found on streets begging every day. So if they are genuine, why don't these preachers go to these hospitals or institutions, or just walk along the streets of any city and cure all the sick and disabled? That is what Jesus did, why not them? It would cost them nothing, and they would convert more people and make them even more famous

Was it the entire sick pple in the whole of israel that jesus healed? Will obama affect positively the lives of all Americans?

Yeah you are right but mind you, it wont yield money to them if they should go street by street to display their healing skill. But when they heal in the church at least the person will drop some offerings together with the people that brought him/her. But that is not to say that all pastors are money seekers. The good ones do go to hospital to pray for people. The fake ones who are just there to make money find it difficult to go to streets and even if they do and people gather to witness what they have done, the next thing will now be to collect offering from the crowd in order to "support their ministry". Offering is good when it is done out of freewill not out of a deceit played by one so called man of God.

How about the doctors going to heal the sick people in the churches? Na so Jesus dey seek the sick to heal se, na apocrypha you see that one or where?

Jesus ,ay not have healed all the sick, but he healed those who were brought to him and those he met on the way. What I am trying to say is that these people should not seek to con people

I feel we are always prepared with an answer for things we do not know !

If a pastor decides to go to a hospital tomorrow & everyone gets healed,you will come up with another explanation.

actually, its quite thoughtful. hospitals are filled up with the helpless and the sick, what better place than there, for Jesus to help the needy.

JESUS DID NOT HEAL EVERYBODY DURING HIS EARTH WALK
when He came to the pool of Bethsaida where there were so many sick people, He healed only one John 5.
Another report says that Jesus could not (not did not)do many miracles in his country

The man at the Beautiful gate that Peter healed (Acts 3)had been at that gate even when Jesus was alive. Jesus passed him everyday to the temple.
There is something about being thirsty and coming with expectation. Even when a blind man met Jesus,he was still asking the man, "what do you want me to do for you" when its obvious he needed to see.

"And Jesus answered and said unto him, What wilt thou that I should do unto thee? The blind man said unto him, Lord, that I might receive my sight."

Its a spiritual principle. But there also has been cases where some men of God went to hospital and discharged d patients. God must have told them. But its not the norm

why dont u just sharrap n accept the fact dat there's no money to be gotten from going to hospitals to heal as oppossed to staged spectacles like crusades n all where seed faiths n thanksgiving offerings are in abundance

I can't shut up because people are being cinned out of their money. Getting money by false pretense is an offense punishable by jail. Jesus talked about these Pharecees and Saducees. Are you one? And doctors do make goof money, honestly

Some people (especially WoFers) like to use Mark 6:4-5 to justify the failings of their nonsensical doctrine and false miracle claims when the miracles do not happen. True, on the face of it, it might appear that Jesus did not do many miracles in Nazareth on that occasion because of unbelief BUT was it that their unbelief limited His Divine power? Below is a more sensible and logical explanation (though we can expect it to fall on deaf ears in some cases)!

3. Yet he could there do no such mighty works, at least not so many, as in other places, because of the unbelief that prevailed among the people, by reason of the prejudices which their leaders instilled into them against Christ, v. 5. It is a strange expression, as if unbelief tied the hands of omnipotence itself; he would have done  as many miracles there as he had done elsewhere, but he could not, because people would not make application to him, nor sue for his favours; he could have wrought them, but they forfeited the honour of having them wrought for them. Note, By unbelief and contempt of Christ men stop the current of his favours to them, and put a bar in their own door.

4. He marvelled because of their unbelief, v. 6. We never find Christ wondering but at the faith of the Gentiles that were strangers, as the centurion (Mt. 8:10), and the woman of Samaria, and at the unbelief of Jews that were his own countrymen. Note, The unbelief of those that enjoy the means of grace, is a most amazing thing.

Jesus, did perform miracles. No doubt about that. So did his disciples including Paul. So did Moses, So did Elijah, So did Elisha, They were not paid for that. They did it to spread the word about the power of God, not self glorification
