Hi Nairalanders,

VoguePay is dead. We killed it in February, 2018.

We killed the ugly, dated VoguePay 2 to launch a brand new experience for our users.

A new VoguePay that is forward-looking is here. It will be Africa's first blockchain digital bank by Q4, 2018

TechNext's article called the initiative "The Big Comeback"

"We Upgrade" is a better word to use than "We Killed"

@CosmicJames, obviously, "we upgrade" is an easy choice of word we could have used. Saying "we killed it" better represents a lot of things that happened under the hood with the new VoguePay3.

We thank you for staying with us and hope you will enjoy the awesome functions we just launched.

@chrisbaxtian, thank you for the question on defining BLOCKCHAIN. As you know, this is a buzzword already, but at VoguePay, we honestly believe that the future of fintech depends on it.

As far as definition goes, let's go with this "blockchain is a continuously growing list of records, called blocks, which are linked and secured using cryptography. Each block typically contains a cryptographic hash of the previous block, a timestamp and transaction data. By design, a blockchain is inherently resistant to modification of the data. (source: WikiPedia).

At VoguePay, what do we use Blockchain for?

VoguePay digital bank will soon be launched. It is a borderless banking service that makes it possible for the same person to enjoy banking services in multiple countries as if he is "local" in that environment. Imagine being able to roam your Nigerian MTN number in UK or any other country without having to buy another sim card.

With our blockchain-powered digital bank, we will be able to deliver this by using blockchain to hash the digital identity of each user and make it inter-operate with our partner banks.

Punch Newspaper did a great story about how this technology works and makes reference to our soon-to-be launched digital bank: http://punchng.com/blockchain-and-financial-services-disruption/

Voguepay is the worst small payment processor in Nigeria.

Why do you want to use them. They will never release your money to you.

I have made withdrawal for more than 7 days now and they have refused to release my money.

Voguepay is a shame. Voguepay is fraudulent.

I'm already contacting someone how action can be taken against them.
