There was confusion earlier today in Akwa Ibom state after residents dropped charms and other fetish items along Ikot Ekpene - Uyo road as they said that the dualization project has been abandoned by Governor Udom Emmanuel. The commissioner for Works, Mr. Ephraim Inyang who arrived the area - has ordered that the fetish materials be burnt after prayers.

Former Governor Godswill Akpabio (now Senate Minority Leader), had accused the governor of abandoning the Ikot-Ekpene Road project which he started and threatened to withdraw his support for Governor Emmanuel’s second term bid.

But the state Commissioner for Works, Mr. Ephraim Inyang-Eyen, said the state government had not abandoned the road.

He said that the contracting firm handling the project, Julius Berger, has been paid as the project advances, adding: “The snag is that the money allocated for payment of compensation to property owners on that road has long been exhausted and many buildings are still standing on the way awaiting compensation. The money was exhausted before the coming of this administration.

After paying hundreds of millions in compensation and restarting work on the project, some people have blocked the road with fetish objects demanding the project be stopped.

See what my dear town has turned into. I blame Akpabio, he would have completed that road before the expiration of his tenure. Like the commisioner said, work had stopped on that road a year before he (Akpabio) left office as the governor.

The real question is, who was responsible for payments of compensation on that project during the former governor's tenure?

Udom Emmanuel is busy using money to cause hatred and confusion in QUA IBO Church. last year He gave the church N200 millions which result to serious fight between the Church elders and it member because elders wanted to gain N1 million each and give members N10,000 each.

Again this February Udom still gave the church another N180 million to be shared just to settle the previous fight but yet the church members are still fighting over the money because elders still want to gain more and members don't agree

Udom Emmanuel is doing absolutely nothing to develop Akwa Ibom State, no job for the youth, no state investment for future. even the pencil and tooth pick company he claim to established has not working machine talk less of producing income

We are tired of being deceived by Nigerian politicians in power to be asking citizens to pray for everything. Only in Nigeria that governments would be asking citizens to pray for good roads, pray for stable electricity supplies, pray for good health care system, pray for affordable educational system in Nigeria to fall from heaven.
Why is Nigeria government not asking citizens to stop paying taxes let taxpayers to pray let taxes fall from heaven too

Let every Nigerian politicians in government who are intentionally refuses to develop we areas, DIE mysteriously before/after their tenure.
