He was ordained a pastor at age of 21 and has since been active in the service of God. Now, 66, Dr. Pro. Adonijah Akinsola, primate of New Temple Mission Church of Christ (Aladura) Worldwide, Ilugun Asalu,Abeokuta, in this interview , shares his view on some of the happening in the christendom,particularly in Nigeria.Excerpts:



Is it true that Christian faith has diminished compared to the 80s and 90s?

Yes. People are no longer committed to the faith again, even among some so-called pastors. Evils are more rampart among men of God today, compare to those years. Today, greed, gluttony and the thirst to make money by any means have become other of the day among ministers of God. They are always in a rush, and one should not be too surprise because these are part of sign of the end time. The Bible says in the last days, people will be lovers of money, pleasure, lovers of themselves than God. All these things make the true men of God ashamed, because people will see us as the same. Most of these so-called pastors are after their bellies and are wolves in sheep clothing. Some of them were not called by God. They deceive the gullible ones who have allowed desperation to solving their problem to cloud their sense of judgment. Some of them don’t even read the Bible, hence they will become prey in the hands of those satanic agents. They are Satanic agents because they are promoting the kingdom of Satan.
