2018 budget has been ready since October last year.
We are waiting for our overpaid legislators to do their job and speedily pass the 2018 appropriation bill .

If you have any information about the politics behind the delay please make your contributions.

The executive wanted absolute power, that made its members disrespect the NASS and refused to show up for mandatory budget defence ,thinking since its buhari they can brow beat the assembly to pass the budget, bit the NASS insisted on the normal procedure hence they impasse.

NASS excuse.
They are making unreasonable demands summoning and resummoning MDAs which do not need to defend the budget as they have already briefed they Federal Ministers and Budget office in writing the budget.

The NASS are simply playing politics with the budget.

There is no justification for 7months delay in passing a 12mnth budget.

That our constitution allows this is a another reason the constitution needs to be replaced.
