Kwara APC group applauds President Buhari for upholding the rule of law

The Caucus for Progressive Change, a group within the Kwara State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has applauded President Muhammadu Buhari's position on the tenure of the current executive members of the party.

In a statement issued in Ilorin on Wednesday by the chairman of the group, Alhaji Samari Abdullahi said the President Buhari has demonstrated again that the only means to entrench internal democracy and progressive governance is for him to support the party's constitution and that of the country.

Samari said the position of the president has equally vindicated his group in Kwara State that had been consistent in the call for restructuring within the party in the state.

He also congratulated those currently occupying party positions as their tenure winds up, saying that they have done their best in the last four years, it will be time for a change of baton and injection of fresh minds.

He therefore, called on loyal party members to continue to support every reform that will reposition the party as a true progressive party and shun every move that will destabilize the party ahead of the 2019 elections.
