we could have done better. the system works against arsenal but what was rooney thinking? the only positive is nani putting clichy in his pocket.

In his pocket? WHat an understatement.

He had clichy licking his ball throughout.

Arsenal has lost the last 10 games to man Utd and Chelsea, is it sensible to still refer to Arsenal as a title rival?

L'arse boys had no single chance tonight.

there's no team in the epl that will get a chance with that united's midfield trio.

Are titles given for beaten Chelski and Utd or for winning post points?

Needing a 'plan b' is not really the issue here. . . .our best players simply weren't on their game, exhibited by the fact that Szceszny being our best player on the night.

but i think they know how to pummel lower teams than man utd and chelsea and those games against smaller teams get more points than the grandslam games.

It was a very good win. Im very happy with the result but there were a few poor performances there. Carrick had a shocking 2nd half. He was really bad in the 2nd half I was just smh. Fletcher was poor for most of the game especially with his use of the ball.
Nani was so wasteful it was quite upsetting and Rooney was average at best.  Very happy with the Defense, Anderson and Park.

What's it with the respect and nicey talks on/off the pitch between United and Arsenal - today's match wasn't an epic one like what we've known this kinda fixture to be; . . .I say bring back the old rivalry days where boots and soups are gonna fly on/off the pitch cool

carrick and fletcher were woeful. fletcher has been shyte this season. his head seems to be buried elsewhere. with carrick, he doesn't influence the game unless other midfield players are playing really well. anderson was excellent but he needs to work on his fitness - he tires out too soon. nani did well but not great. it's not easy aiming at one player in the box. the formation made nani wasteful.

That is 12 points lost every season home and away to Manure and Chelski. Think about that.

Then why have they been without the league title for 6 seasons since they know how to handle lesser teams

you need to ask wenger that question. he has blamed the pitch at old trafford tonight for his loss. sometimes i think arsene is sick in the head.

The 'lesser teams' have all upped their games. Sunderland humbling chelsea, west brom beatin arsenal and Manure drawing 6 in 17 or so means the gap btw the bigger and smaller teams is gradually closing. Everyone is gettin a share of more competition from those labelled smaller teams

The games that have cost the most points this season have been against W Brom, Newcastle and Spurs at home, not against Utd or Chelski.

Dunno if it was the pitch or not, but possession retention in midfield was atrocious for both teams.

both teams were anxious. there was nothing wrong with the pitch. the groundsmen usually wet the pitch so the ball can zip. apart from that, pitch was perfect. if berbatov was there today, he would have made the difference. the way walcott skied his volley and the way rooney did an "asamoah gyan" is an evidence of their poor techniques.
Re: Manchester United Fan Thread: Red Devils' Zone! by Moonstone(f): 11:41pm On Dec 13, 2010
I'm guessing Manchester played on a different pitch. While Wenger is blaming the pitch, the fans are blaming Web. Some are blaming Arshavin and others are blaming Clichy. Such flimsy excuses. They should go and hug tranformer jooooO!
