im sorry but this is a duh! you never put anything to your mouth without it being washed or in a freshly opened sterile wrapper. think about the thousands of viruses, bacteria and fungal spores that rodents and insects drop when they walk accross you food containers. many insects regurgitate stomach acids to liquify thier food before eating it, you want to have the stomach acid of a blow fly in you mouth?
