All is now set for the 2018 Ordinary General Meeting (OGM) of the Nigerian Library Association (NLA, Osun State Chapter) which will hold today, Wednesday 4th April, 2018 at the Redeemed College of Missions, Ede, Osun State by 10am prompt.

In the pre-OGM press release on Tuesday shared by the State PRO of the Association, Mr. Adeyemo Olusegun, he affirms that the NLA Osun Chairperson, Dr. Mrs. Modupe Aboyade underscores that the meeting is facilitated to brainstorm on moving the Association forward, and to further enlighten members on 21st Century skills to adopt to remain relevant in the current dynamic information environment.

Highlights of the event will include OGM lecture titled
Appropriate Staffing in Nigeria Academic Libraries: The Personality Traits to Avoid and Adopt by Mr. Samuel Olu Adeyoyin and Dr. Wahab A. Aboyade, and also commendation of members who have contributed immensely to the sustenance and the development of the Association at the State level.


The Nigerian Library Association (NLA), established in 1962, is an umbrella body for all Librarians and Library Officers across the Country with the National headquarters in Abuja.

Objectives of the Association include:
To unite persons interested in Libraries, Librarianship and Information services;
To safeguard and promote the professional interests of librarians;
To promote the establishment and development of libraries and information centers.
