Amosun is simply unbelievable.

Apparently, the man embarks on projects without carrying out proper cost analysis.

All over Ogun state are projects that are abandoned due to lack of funds. For instance, there are almost 15 overhead bridges that being constructed simultaneously. Some of them are being built across what can be better described as bush paths.

Akute alone has about 3 bridges being built at the same time.

Of course, building bridges are the surest way for people in government today to corruptly enrich themselves.

AutoReportNG:
It was reported in May 2013 that a contract for the construction of a 334 km rail network in the southwestern state of Ogun was signed by the state government and China Railway Construction Corp’s China Civil Engineering Construction Co Nigeria subsidiary of on April 27 and this was welcome with lots of excitement as it will help to fast track movement of goods and help to decongest the already congested Berger, Agbara, Sagamu roads.

The cost of the Nigeria Ogun State Intercity Rail Mass Transit Project is estimated at US$3·51bn. CCECC said ‘financing for the project has not been finally implemented’, and the final price is still to be determined through negotiations. The state government said a contractor-finance arrangement is envisaged.

The 334 km network would be developed in four phases, using designs produced by CCECC following the signing of a memorandum of understanding in 2013. The single track standard gauge lines would be built to Chinese specifications, with a design speed of 120 km/h.

“The first phase of the project will include a 57km Agbara-Berger; 54km Ofada-Sagamu; and 84km Abeokuta-Sagamu-Ijebu Ode rail projects, among others.”

In 2016 a press conference was done between Ogun state government and Planet Project and Transport of London and after 2016, nothing has been heard from both the state government and the handler of the project.

These are the pictures from the signing with CCeCC in 2015
