Go to pharmaceutical manufacturing industries we have in Nigeria like Emzor, Juhel, May and Baker, Drugfield etc, maybe then you will appreciate the beauty of pharmacy more. How many Nigerian doctors can match the MDs of the above companies who are Pharmacists in terms of wealth and popularity??
You typed that Nigerian Pharmacists don't produce drugs yet you consume Emzor paracetamol, Emzor lokmal and so many other brands from Emzor and other indigenous pharmaceutical manufacturers. I'm sure that even the infusion sets you use are manufactured by Juhel.

Even in the clinical setting, the role of pharmacists are very much indispensable! How many medical doctors can do proper dose calculations or monitor drug therapy through calculations of pharmacokinetic parameters Or formulate extemporaneous products?? Many of them have not been able to prescribe drugs properly without errors let alone knowing any of the above. Even to properly counsel patients on drugs use they cannot do that.
