This show is run by private business individuals who’s sole aim is to make profit, the show is rated 18+ and instructions on how to set up parental control password is issued daily so if your children gets access to the show then it is the parents fault. Channel this energy on how to tell a man to run his private business to the government that has failed to give priority to nation building and developing Human Resources

In 2006, BBNaija was conceived by Obi Asika the then CEO of storm 360 as a platform to promote the Nigerian brand as well as the rising dominance of the country’s entertainers on the entertainment scene in Africa but unfortunately, the idea had been defeated.

lets face it..what brand does this show promote and what positive impact does this show have on the productivity of Nigerian Youths and Nigeria as a nation?,and in what way does the show promote the image of the country when it was not hosted in Nigeria?...

Whilst many intelligent educated youths are out there with mind blowing entrepreneurial ideas with no funds to implement their ideas and many talented Nigerian youths out there hoping that one day they will get funding for their dreams but here we have a whooping sum of N45m and several other rewards splashed on the winner of a sex-talent hunt show where a carton of condom was provided as part of supplies for the house and Shockingly, in less than three weeks of entering the Big Brother house, the packets of condom had been depleted. Does this mean the housemates have been having regular sex?,it is very apparent that the organizers only show viewers the ones they want them to see.

What about the kissing competition?, curdling, nudity and live sex on live Tv?,thereby influencing our children very negatively and serving as a satanic tool to sow the seed of immorality in the underage who also view the immoral program and follow it up on social media.

As if this is not enough,we have some celebrities who ought to be role models promoting this counter productive program by openly rooting for their preferred housemate and even the winner is honored by the state he/she comes from making them ambassadors ....whilst first class graduates in many Nigerian universities are rewarded with N10,000,a soft porn winner gets N45m...this could fund the business ideas of over10 potential Dangotes in Nigeria

So i begin to wonder how on earth did our youths get to this point where they have totally missed their priorities....in a country where their is massive unemployment,Boko haram terrorists, endless herds men killings, high profile corruption cases, Non payment of salaries by many states despite the bail out funds, Kidnappings, Economy recession and Bad leaders to mention just few...our youths who ought to demonstrate their intolerance to the aforementioned find it more convenient to expend their energy on a soft porn reality show,..how lame

With the misplaced priorities of today's Nigerian youths I guess the nation may be stagnant unless we focus on things that matter in moving Nigeria forward like our Nigeria youths of the past, like Awolowo who was 37 years,Akintola 36,Ahmadu Bello 36,Balewa 34,Okotie-Eboh 27 and Enahoro 27 and they led the struggle for Nigeria Independence after the death of Macaulay. Only Zik was 42 at the time!

In 1966, the first military coup was led by K Nzeogwu who was 29 years and countered by M.Mohammed 28,T. Danjuma 28, I. Babangida 25,
J. Garba 23, Sani Abacha 23, and M. Yar'adua 23, And brought into power Y. Gowon 32,Ojukwu 33, Obasanjo 29, and Buhari 24!

Most of the military governors who governed the states under the successive military regimes were under 30 years.

Also, the brief democratic dispensation which interjected the military regime also saw some Senators and members of the House of Representatives, in particular, populated by persons under 30!

Under 30's were also not in short supply with appointments - we have examples of MT Mbu who became Nigeria's Foreign Affairs Minister at 23 and Pat Utomi who became a Federal Adviser at 27 and so on and so forth! but the present day Nigeria youth have totally become a shadow of the youths we once had in time past...how unfortunate..

The most bizarre twist is that in all, 170 million votes were cast in the 85-day event, with 30 million votes coming in the last week alone which goes to confirm that indeed, many Nigerian youths are clueless as voters had to spend N30 per sms and many voted several times and those who voted for free had to go through the stress of downloading an app in order to vote for free yet many of these voters who are 18 years and above have never voted in any electoral process in Nigeria and many do not have a Permanent Voters card to vote in a credible leader to move our nation forward.

Well just as the theme for the just concluded show implies..Indeed it is DOUBLE WAHALA for the clueless Nigerian youths

I rest my case.

I didn't watch the show cos i am not a fan of big brother. But then a lot of ppl close to me watched it. Ladies be yarning about the BBN all day.Even this morning on tv on ITV Benin they were analyzing about the big brother on the news. I even got to know this mornin dat it ended last night and one dude..i can't remember d name won it. Well the only reality show i really used to love back then was this Guilder ultimate show . I don't have an issue with ppl who ppl who love bigbrother.everybody has a choice and i don't believe it will affect negatively on the youths. Its just pure entertainment and nothing more. Afterall America has a zillion reality shows but its still a productive country. Having said dis i can't wait for the 2018 upcoming worldcup. neezar are u here?cheesy
shh..don't behave like u know all that goes on in America..see stormy Daniels story, "america is a free world" that is what u all think, u all also think they do accept immorality peacefully... Stormy Daniels case against trump is going down the drain not because it against the president, it simple because she is a "prostitute"..!! Even Americans have morals, and they do defend it, don't think u know america entirely based on what u see on TV..!!

Well, this one is your opinion, everybody is entitled to one. My own very candid opinion is, anytime i read or hear people talk like in this post i just wave it as that same thing that make us (Nigerians) bleeding HYPOCRITES.
I will just ask the questions and just give corresponding examples as answers:

-Do you know the amount of jobs BBNaija created, as in youths that got something to do because of BBNaija?
Ans: Sound engineers, lighting engineers, carema men, producers, dancers, security, ninjas..lol...etc

-When you are sick, do you go to a plumber or a doctor?
Ans: it is not BBnaija's duty to give the youth money start up their ideas, what they do is to deliver entertaining as well as educative content to viewers.

- why is it of everything that BBNaija delivered, you just paid attention to the sex scenes and bathroom sessions?
Ans- So you mean all the educative presentations (Rexona - prevention of body odour, Close-up (how to maintain a healthy mouth, and so many more) the housemate gave you did see any one abi?

Infact i am tired of typing, i have plenty more points bruh if you care for them.

Peace!!

A funny Nigerian lady tried to justify this craziness by categorically stating that her love for BBN is similar to my love of football.

I just laughed at that fallacy

Footballers are trained professionals who spend nearly 5 to 6 hours everyday training and about 100 mins running around on a football field under immerse pressure just to entertain us.

BbN contestants on the other hand, are simply excuse for entertainment and most contestants cannot even be seen as entertainers in the real sense of the word.

It gathers so much following because of the unpredictable nature of the various dramas going on in the house, but after watching almost 5 different big brother shows like I did, you won't find anything unpredictable about the show anymore.

The loud mouths
The gossiping crew
The love birds (try Kevin Pam and tazania chick because they actually got married)

The cute guys
The fighters
The quiet ones that never win, but go very far and almost always a lady

The crazy lady everyone hates
The lady that get bleeped
etc

The winners are always the down to earth men or ladies that can connect with the audience.

So like Rico like Kelvin, like Uti like karen, like Efe like Miracle.

I honestly feel it's another wasted three months where the country's legislation became a joke and the Fulani herdsmen continued with their carnage, but I don't expect anyone to care

Ever wondered why we ended here in the first place

so what did you gain after watching football?

Gmajor:
so what did you gain after watching football?
Perhaps, entertainment is always meant to educate us?

Nonetheless, I have learned a lot of life lessons that could be applied both inside and outside the football pitch, I.e.

I have learned to always remain professional under difficult circumstances,

I have learned discipline,

I have learned never to give up on my dreams as long as I work hard,

I have learned to stay focus and not to give too much thoughts to what others think of my chances in life

I have also learned a lot of football tactical approach that I might be willing to apply later in life, I might be willing to coach young boys that see football as a means to escape poverty.

Never mind the millions of people employed around the world and numbers of people that the game has directly or indirectly brought out of poverty.

Never mind how certain nations managed to put themselves on the map as a result of a decent outing in a soccer world cup.

I know you might say the same about your beloved show, but unlike a show based on pretence and the judgments of emotionally charged audience, football actually rewards hard work and diligence.

Do educate me, what exactly did you gain from big brother?

I am waiting!

I am amazed at how my brothers and sisters reason

I won't make a huge fuss about anyone's choice, if Nigeria as a country is actually working or the show is held in Nigerian (providing enough employment to Nigerian youth) and portraying presentable aspects of our diverse cultures to the world.
The first one held in 2006 did a little bit of all of that .

Asides the very obvious issue of corruption, this show is doing exactly what killed Nigeria

How crazy will it appear, if American movies were shot in Nigeria with Nigerian staffs, but only few American actors? Can that movie be called an American movie?
You, sir, deserve a beer.

Hardcore truth up there....

Naira was much stronger
Security situation was more stable
Things were cheaper
We had very few cases of kidnappings
The unemployment rate was much lower

Nigeria as a country has never had it this bad, Nigeria is now bearing all the hallmarks of a failed nation, yet our youths are preoccupied with a reality show that portrays high level of immorality for the whole day.

In addition, the show is being held in another country, a show called big brother Nigeria

Please work on your abilities to comprehend next time and do a little research on the economic history of Nigeria it will do you a world of good

You must be a kid, the millennium came with it's own challenges.

Multiple plane crash

Ode massacre

Hike in fuel pump price

Fuel scarcity

Political assassination e.g Bola Ige etc

Unemployment

Total black out (Every decade experience that anyway)

And many more......Don't tie this country's problem to entertainment show.

My Uncle left this Country when we had no internet or cable TV. Our problem is bigger than any TV reality show

Only a fool will tie all these problems to bb naija show

Hike in petrol prices in comparisons to what is available now? Petroleum prices was about 40 naira and diesel was even cheaper

So political assassin don't happen now? Perhaps because it no longer happen to the top politicians,

but apparently about 200 people die everyday in the north eastern region of Nigeria

The rate of kidnappings have gone up all over Nigeria

More youths are getting involved in criminal activities than ever before

For your information, The killings of politicians or political assassination started since the killings of Tafawa balewa and co in the first military coup and it didn't increase the level of insecurity of the ordinary citizens as the killings were largely restricted to politicians.

By the way, bola ige's chambers was suituated near the school I attended in Dugbe Ibadan and despite his assassination no one felt threatened, but these days a lot of people no longer feel safe in Nigeria.... The numbers of criminal activities have shot up significantly.

Sir, do you know how many companies have folded up in Nigeria since 2006

Dunlop
Royal Dutch Shell have reduced there activities significantly
Eleganza have stop manufacturing
A lot of plastic manufacturing companies
A lot of successful manufacturing industries no longer exist
need I go on

All these aforementioned issues have all contributed to the high level unemployment rate moving from around 20% in early 2000s to 40% as of today, that is according to the Nigerian government estimations, but we all know the real rate is closer to 90%

Plane crash? now you are just being ridiculous, even some of the more developed nations have witnessed various aviation accidents in recent history. cheesy

I am extremely surprised that you will try to to compare the Nigeria of early 2000s to the Nigeria of today. The same Nigeria of early 2000s where one can get a bread of 20 naira compared to where the bread of 100 naira is now a luxury grin

Is this how big brother affect your reasoning? cheesy

stupidity:
Just for you to know how lazy and brain dead Nigeria youth are, host a brain teaser show and see the number of youths that will turn up for audition unlike the number of slay queens that floods BBN auditions.

Also how are we sure there’s no government backing on BBN just to make we youth more useless and turn away from reality. #Just an observation.

Also when you host a brain teaser show, you think youth will watch the show talk more of voting?

who wants to be a millionaire is a brain teaser with hefty reward.

Toks2008:
In 2006, BBNaija was conceived by Obi Asika the then CEO of storm 360 as a platform to promote the Nigerian brand as well as the rising dominance of the country’s entertainers on the entertainment scene in Africa but unfortunately, the idea had been defeated.

lets face it..what brand does this show promote and what positive impact does this show have on the productivity of Nigerian Youths and Nigeria as a nation?,and in what way does the show promote the image of the country when it was not hosted in Nigeria?...
what you see is what you get

Whilst many intelligent educated youths are out there with mind blowing entrepreneurial ideas with no funds to implement their ideas and many talented Nigerian youths out there hoping that one

if they are so talented and intelligent why don't they know how to raise capital?

day they will get funding for their dreams but here we have a whooping sum of N45m and several other rewards splashed on the winner of a sex-talent hunt show where a carton of condom was provided as part of supplies for the house and Shockingly, in less than three weeks of entering the Big Brother house, the packets of condom had been depleted.
responsible safe sex

Does this mean the housemates have been having regular sex?,it is very apparent that the organizers only show viewers the ones they want them to see.
go and do your own show and show everything you hear

What about the kissing competition?, curdling, nudity and live sex on live Tv?,thereby influencing our children very negatively and serving as a satanic tool to sow the seed of immorality in the underage who also view the immoral program and follow it up on social media.

why are you allowing children to watch it abi you no see warning label

As if this is not enough,we have some celebrities who ought to be role models promoting this counter productive program by openly rooting for their preferred housemate and even the winner is honored by the state he/she comes from making them ambassadors ....whilst first class graduates in many Nigerian universities are rewarded with N10,000,a soft porn winner gets N45m...this could fund the business ideas of over10 potential Dangotes in Nigeria

the market decides baby
not you moralistic jingoist

So i begin to wonder how on earth did our youths get to this point where they have totally missed their priorities....in a country where their is massive unemployment,Boko haram terrorists, endless herds men killings, high profile corruption cases, Non payment of salaries by many states despite the bail out funds, Kidnappings, Economy recession and Bad leaders to mention just few...our youths who ought to demonstrate their intolerance to the aforementioned find it more convenient to expend their energy on a soft porn reality show,..how lame etc
recession
?
unemployment killing kidnapping
is it your

With the misplaced priorities of today's Nigerian youths I guess the nation may be stagnant unless we focus on things that matter in moving Nigeria forward like our Nigeria youths of the past, like Awolowo who was 37 years,Akintola 36,Ahmadu Bello 36,Balewa 34,Okotie-Eboh 27 and Enahoro 27 and they led the struggle for Nigeria Independence after the death of Macaulay. Only Zik was 42 at the time!
who is stopping you from focusing
remove your log before pointing another splinter

remove In 1966, the first military coup was led by K Nzeogwu who was 29 years and countered by M.Mohammed 28,T. Danjuma 28, I. Babangida 25,
J. Garba 23, Sani Abacha 23, and M. Yar'adua 23, And brought into power Y. Gowon 32,Ojukwu 33, Obasanjo 29, and Buhari 24!
and see where the inexperienced fools put us

Most of the military governors who governed the states under the successive military regimes were under 30 years.
are you satisfied with their handiwork?

Also, the brief democratic dispensation which interjected the military regime also saw some Senators and members of the House of Representatives, in particular, populated by persons under 30!
failures the lot of them

Under 30's were also not in short supply with appointments - we have examples of MT Mbu who became Nigeria's Foreign Affairs Minister at 23 and Pat Utomi who became a Federal Adviser at 27 and so on and so forth!
what are their legacies

but the present day Nigeria youth have totally become a shadow of the youths we once had in time past...how unfortunate..
you mean the failures we had in the past

The most bizarre twist is that in all, 170 million votes were cast in the 85-day event, with 30 million votes coming in the last week alone which goes to confirm that indeed, many Nigerian youths are clueless as voters had to spend N30 per sms and many voted several times and those who voted for free had to go through the stress of downloading an app in order to vote for free yet many of these voters who are 18 years and above have never voted in any electoral process in Nigeria and many do not have a Permanent Voters card to vote in a credible leader to move our nation forward.

not their fault the candidates are wack

Well just as the theme for the just concluded show implies..Indeed it is DOUBLE WAHALA for the clueless Nigerian youths

I rest my case.
you have no case

I hate that show! It brought, it’s bringing and will bring so much negativity. angry
I will have to agree with buhari! #MostNigerianYouths are indeed lazy and unproductive angry

Nigeria will continue to be the way it is or even worse if the youths don’t bring anything to the table to make the nation grow.
