A pan-Nigerian youth group, Nigeria Youth Project has expressed shock and sadness over the sudden demise of Mr. Imam Imam, the spokesman of Governor Aminu Tambawal of Sokoto state. Imam died in the early hours of Friday in Abuja.

The reaction of the youth body was expressed in a statement signed by Mr. Victor Bobai the groups National Team Leader and Hon Inioribo Tamunotonye its National Secretary.

The statement reads;

"We condole with Governor Aminu Tambawal, the people of Sokoto state, members of Imam's family and media professionals, over the sudden and painful demise of the gentleman, Mr. Imam Imam"

"As a group and as individual, we have worked closely with the deceased and can testify that he was a man with utmost fear of God. He was a man that had strong respect for humanity and one that believed in the advancement and progress of Nigeria and its citizens"

"Upon hearing of the passage of Mr Imam, we communicated the sad news to His Excellency, Senator Ahmed Makarfi, the former National Chairman of Peoples Democratic Party, our adopted Principal and a man that sees himself as leader and father of all irrespective of political leaning. His Excellency, upon hearing the sad news expressed great shock, grief and sadness, and prayed for the repose of his soul"

"We pray that the Almighty God forgives his shortcomings and grant him eternal rest".
