Comrade Francis Obule, the Chairman DESOPADEC Indigenous Contractors Forum (DICF) has commended the endorsement of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State for second tenure by the Delta North political class.
Comrade Obule, who made the commendation during a media interactive session in Warri, said that the endorsement would clear all odds against Governor Okowa’s success at the polls come 2019 in view of his developmental strides across the three senatorial districts of the state.
He reaffirmed that the endorsement has cleared the air for all to visibly see that other candidates who are clamouring to run for the Delta Governorship from the same senatorial zone with Governor Okowa are people who want to build castles in the air without a foundation on the ground.
Comrade Obule, who harped on the track record of Governor Okowa as a candidate with a competitive edge over other contestants, asserted that a good number of those eyeing the Delta Governorship seat have nothing to show but only coming to play the politics of stomach infrastructure which is not needed in this time of our political history.
He maintained with emphasis that what Governor Okowa is doing to make Delta the envy of other states deserves the full support of every Deltan as we behold the unprecedented growth and development being attracted to the state in the era of the great EKWUEME of Africa.
Comrade Obule added, “it is true that our Governor as a human being may not be a saint but from what we can see on ground through the instrumentality of the SMART Agenda and prosperity for all Deltans, Governor Okowa has done far beyond our wildest imaginations.
He advised the people of Delta State not to be deceived by the gimmicks of those campaigning for a single tenure, stressing that the Okowa mandate is a bird at hand which is far better than millions in the bush.
Comrade Obule appealed to the electorate not to allow themselves to be cajoled by any form of change opposition campaign of failed promises which will hinder the progress, peace and development of the state that is already on course.
He called on the Governor to release more funds to DEDESOPADEADEADEC to tackle the issues of financial paucity in the commission in the overall interest of the people and government of Delta State
