Governor Abubakar Sani Bello yesterday received 250 graduate artisans trained as electricians, carpenters, POP makers, driving etc by the state Government. The artisans were led by their coordinator, Alhaji Nma Kolo.

Speaking on behalf of the artisans, Mallam Yusuf Mohammed appreciated the effort of Mr Governor in facilitating their training, giving them a lifeline for them to be self reliant.

Mallam Yusuf showered praises on the coordinator, Alhaji Nma Kolo who he said took very good care of them during the training by providing meals for them everyday throughout the training and making sure they are comfortable and well taken care of.

All the 250 artisans will also receive certificate for the training and take off grant for them to be able to buy equipment for their various crafts.

The Coordinator, Alhaji Nma Kolo thanked Mr Governor for his gesture and his poverty alleviating schemes as well as making sure the youths are taken off the streets and provided with an alternative to better their lives.


While thanking Mr Governor, He urge the government to patronize the artisans by employing the drivers, engaging the electricians in the city’s street light maintainance, Carpentry and POP jobs in government owned buildings.
