Sounds of gunshot are being heard across Olukayode stadium in Ado-Ekiti, capital of Ekiti state, venue of the botched All progressives Congress (APC) governorship primary election. It is unclear if the shots are being fired by security personnel or suspected thugs. Thirty-three aspirants sought to clinch the party’s ticket for the July election. The exercise was going on smoothly but trouble broke out after some agents smashed ballot boxes, saying there were plots to manipulate the exercise.
