The smartphone company, BlackBerry has announced the date for the arrival of its new smartphone called BlackBerry KEY2 on the 7th of June at an event in New York. Just like its predecessor, the new BlackBerry smartphone comes with a display and QWERTY keypad design. BlackBerry KEY 2 with dual cameras launching on June 7

The BlackBerry KEY2 has upgraded specs when compared to its predecessor, KEYone that was launched last year. The BlackBerry KEY2 will also have the same display and QWERTY keyboard design, dual cameras, processor, 3,360mAH battery, which is a little bit smaller than the KEYone’s battery 3,505mAH.

The new BlackBerry KEY2 smartphone will sport a 4.5-inch (1620 x 1080 pixels) display with 433 PPI and 3:2 aspect ratio. It will also come with a 4-row Physical QWERTY keyboard with capacitive touch. Its display will be scratch-resistant, the dimensions of the phone are 151.4×71.8×8.5mm and its weight is 168g. The phone will be powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 660 processor with Adreno 512 GPU. The BlackBerry KEY2 will also feature a 6GB RAM and a 64GB internal storage which is expandable up to 2TB via MicroSD. The phone will come with a 12MP+5MP dual rear camera that has a dual-tone LED Flash and an 8MP front camera. Coming to the connectivity options, the dual-SIM phone will have 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4 & 5 GHz), Bluetooth 4.2, GPS/ GLONASS, NFC, USB 3.1 Type-C. It will also sport a 3.5mm audio jack and FM Radio. The BlackBerry KEY2 has a 3,360mAH battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 fast charging support. The phone will run on Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box.
