I was expecting such conc names like Azubogu, Ogugua, Chidume, Nzedigwe, etc Let me try , i might be wrong though Azubugo- backward is war/fight Ogugua-sympathise (normally given to a child born after a tragedy occur) Chidume- more like Chidubem, God lead me Nzediegwu should be the right spelling, means a man with great personality Osadebe means God keep me. Osa is short form of Olisa which means God Chikwado- God supports Chinonyerem-God stays with me Nonyerem (Nonye)-stay with me Onyemache- who knows tomorrow Kasimobi- comfort me Ejiofor- bestowed with virtue Ekwueme- does what he says Okorocha- fair man Onwurah- dead leave us Amogechukwu- no one knows God’s timing Chiazor- God saves Chikaodinaka- it's in God's hands Chinualumogu- God fight on my behalf, short form is Chinua Ifesochukwukaogaeme(Ifeso)- God does what pleases him Nnebuogor- mother is gift or favour Obianuju- born in time of plenty , can be Obianujunwa or Obianujuaku Obumneke- Am i the creator? That's what I thought. But on a second thought after the argument, l began to wonder if Kelechi should better mean "Greet God" You know how you can tell a child to greet "Kele" aunty Ngozi. Kele mean thank and at same time greet. You tell a child to greet aunty Ngozi Kele aunty Ngozi and at the ame if aunty ngozi buys biscuit for that child, you also say "kele aunty Ngozi" which in this scenario means thank "Kele" is just one if those words that can be use in different scenarios 1 Like 1 Share |

carpmam: Most of the meanings there are wrong, Wrong and misleading. The poster was translating in a simple manner, thus losing the literary meaning of the words. For example 1. Uchenna does not mean God's idea. The full name is Uchenna ga eme. Meaning Let the will of God be done. Uchenna means Godswill not God's idea. 2. Ekene does not mean Praise. Ekene is a short form of Ekene dili Chukwu meaning To God be the Glory. And so many others |
